I love how the apparent dirt specks, much smaller than the frog who first gets our attention, turn out to be a tiny village of sorts. Excellent resolution to capture such small creatures, especially the baby ones - so precious!
I have a lot of these around my house and I didn’t what they were until now. They are so small that it’s hard to describe them but I’m glad I know what they are now. They seem super peaceful so we will live in harmony :)
Awesome video! I have lots of these critters jumping around on my aquarium's waterline and was curious to find out what they were. They're actually cute, haha! Thanks!
Wait till you find out how cool their skin is, completely waterproof, completely clean, almost impossible for microbes to attach to them. And the jumping is hilarious
The genus is Sminthurides. What you see and think is a parasite in fact is a male specimen clinging to the female through its antennae. This is common behavior in the Sminthurididae family.
With music, this seems like a quiet little town in a rpg game. Quite soothing

Really love this! Narrate your next with music. That would add so much. They do look like a herd of grazing rabbits!

The 'parasitic mite' is actually a male springtail of the same species, carried by the female.
Thanks for info. Will do an edit.
Do they bite people?
@@childofgod7203 no they don't
What species is that? I've never seen a globular springtail where the male is that much smaller.
