Just curious if you’ve checked the gasket on your 3rd brake light to make sure it’s not deteriorating? They have a high failure rate on these trucks and allow water to get inside the cab. Also, the seal around your sliding back window can crack and will leak water down right where your amp is located. And if you have vents in the back panel of the cab they too can let water in and could potentially short out your whole setup! Just a friendly heads up from a fellow Ram owner ✌️
It goes pretty easily. Just be careful cutting so you dont hit the seats and try to leave a little of the white plastic if possible, otherwise it may rattle a tad and then you just have to put a little electrical tape around the metal to get that to stop. Its easy though.
The other seat i got rid of too much of the white plastic compared to the one i showed in the video. So it made noise if you pulled it forward and back. All i did was put some electrical tape around the bracket i cut (shown in video) and then that went away. (Easy fix)
That plastic ends up breaking over time anyways. I just remove it and then put some 5/16" fuel hose with a couple zip ties on the bar hoop on the back of the cab. you might have to trim a little more of the bottom of the metal tab on the seat to clear the fuel hose, but just go slow until it just clears and you'll have plenty still grabbing when the back drops back down. and no rattling! I started with the electrical tape...but it wears out pretty quickly from driving and operating the seat.
When you have the base of the seat folded all the way up, do they still stay in the up position locked like original also after this mod? Or will they fall forward when folded all the way up? Thank you!

It worked buddy I have the full back bench seat and did exactly what you did and I now have a storage area! I also had to cut the plastic off. It's got movement now, hopefully it doesn't clunk to bad
@@dirtsailoroff-road5580 it does have a rattle on like washboard roads. I wrapped the hooks on the seat. Thinking wrapping the loops on the back of the cab would be better.

For anybody watching. At the bottom of the plastic after you cut the metal and plastic. Cut a bit off at a 45° angle, the plastic won't get caught
How’d it go with your 2020 warlock? I have a 22 and my seats don’t tilt up when you raise the bench… wonder if this will not work on the 5th gens
I used 3/4 in MDF. 16.5" by 2". Used it as a spacer

i just did mine and the seat stay locked in when fully up, just like norma;
