About 2 million population. Like any big city, Tijuana has its share of crime. And the seedier the neighborhood that you visit, the likelier it is that you might encounter a problem. Just like anywhere else. So if you're worried, stay away from the rundown areas. The tourist area around Revolucion and Constitution are pretty safe.
How much do they charge for their services these days ?
I've walked them for decades. The only folks who ever bother me are the money grubbing policia.

I go there alot it's safe
