Catching big pike is like hooking a locomotive. I love it! You can reel it in like a log until it wants to leave. Just goes and doesn't care if there's a boat attached to it.

just a heads up , in reality a northern pike is a cold water fish they like deep water and the biggest ones are normally deep except when they spawn that's the only time they are shallow , the small to medium ones are in relatively shallow water depending on water clarity and other factors , small can be found around weed edges and around spawning panfish
So woke up, wanted to buy this finally it's here, saw the Steam reviews, I am not even sure if it has any positive reviews, but I'll wait for another 2-3 weeks to really patch the game up.
None of that made any sense but Drae was having so much fun that it was entertaining X3

There's always a massive "King of the Pond" fish in every lake, that always gets away. They are legend.

I like how nothing ever goes Drae's way
Prime example this episode? He wants to catch Pike, most of what he catches is Bass
Now I know this isn't something that happens all the time, there are lots of examples in lots of games where things do go his way but its very infamous from what I've seen since I started watching Drae since around the time his Huniepop series started and just before Stranded Deep launched that such was true

The Pike Drae caught was the same he lost. It did bite close to where he lost it, and yes it was easy to caught it because it was so tired. That damn rock did hook the fish until the line break. Be careful of rocks in this game 😉

IRL. The fishing is great at the bottom of a waterfall, because fish can't swim to the top (upstream). Pike hang out in slow moving water with weeds at the edge. Fish the weeds. Your DIAMOND awaits good sir. Great game!

It's not a fishing game till drae can use 5 lines at once and then not know what to do when they all land at the same time.

Don’t pretend to know what you’re talking about when it comes to fishing because you said you’re going to throw in your rod and you don’t throw in your rod, you throw in your line LOL
Do you have to sight cast in this game? Or can you cast to random spots and there will be fish that don’t show up on the top of the water? 99% of fishing is just casting to spots that look good. Sight casting is more of a fly fishing/trout thing. Bass fishing(and Pike and Muskie especially) are rarely done through sight casting. With a good pair of polarized glasses, sure, sight casting is definitely possible for almost any freshwater species, but fishing deeper water obviously eliminates the possibility to sight cast directly to individual fish
majority isn't sight casting this spot was just very shallow and perfect for pike/bass
