It was fun that I was able to pop in for a few minutes during the stream to see you fly the Class M ship. Docking with The Eye made it look like a hood ornament for your ship. If Bethesda had the time and energy to evolve that system, including for player use, there are all kinds of fun things you could do with M Class ships, from Macross style missile swarms to deployable minefields to class Star Wars turrets.
When I see ship mods that include M class stuff, I always think the base game is buggy enough. I don't need a mod making it worse. These giant ships are not in the ship building system for a reason.

I pull up my mod list quite a bit during the stream. I don't have a mod list off hand, but it's mainly the ship part mods
