Thanks very much for uploading this, great to watch the old strongman series. I really like how they travelled across the world for the events, and gave random information/facts about the country they are in, during the events 😁

Great to look back on these memories from WSM. Marunde just missed out and was going to return in 2007. Very sad he passed away.

Funny back when I was a reen. I walked into a drug store. Nan weighing about 145 lbs. White t-shirt on. Was reading the newspaper, out of the blue he brought the paper close to face and wear I call the hidden muscle. People that look like they don't have, end up with a baseball and peaked. I was in awe. That man was my kick in the bytt movement. Went home lifted my concrete plate weights to hope to get an arm like his. Went back time and time again in hopes to see him and his bicep again. He never came back. So watching this video is like seeing him again. Thanks for posting thus.

Poor Jesse. His heart issues must have already started to affect his performance. He died the next year in 2007.
He was one that had more potential than most to be a crowned WSM Champion. He was only 27 years old here and never even had the chance to reach his prime.

Stone lifting overhead always making me cringe. It's so easy you would drop it on your head and you are gone.

Yup! I feel sorry for Arild here. 20 years old and one of the best overhead pressers in the world, but he arrives here and loses because of a rock press 😅😵

@@facumartinez100 I agree. Probably plenty more capable Strongmen to choose from. But the Chinese Authorities wouldn't've let them hold the event if there wasn't a Chinese National in it. It's happened a lot of times, one guy who has no chance.
