Massive respect for Thor going for the 500kg when he already had the event in the bag - a monster lift that could've risked losing the rest of the contest. Giving the fans what they want!

Brian Shaw, Eddie Hall, Robert Oberst, & Nick Best did an awesome short 7-episode series for History TV. They have more opportunity than they ever have, so here’s hoping the trend continues.

I feel like Thor's 1045lbs deadlift threw Shaw off his game, and that's when he started losing his fire. If Thor had failed it, he likely wouldn't have felt low. It's in his head. But hey, these guys are beasts.

Is that really him? He's slimmed down so much, I didn't realize he'd been carrying strongman weight I just thought that was his normal size.

So sad not to see Thor (or Shaw) pull over 1100 pounds, he wanted it so badly! Very impressive none the less.

I was sad that Brian didn't hit that last deadlift, but he's still incredibly strong. Thor is the best deadlifter rn and it isn't close, so if Brian wants to win, he'll have to beat him in the other events. He's got more in the tank. If anything, he's pissed off now, so maybe he'll give it that much more. Awesome to watch.
