Will this work on the non-st versions of the focus?

dont think so, i work on my buddys non ST his is stick aswell and damn near everything is different on that car, i have the ST i thought my car was just going to be an SE with a turbo thrown on it, but they are really different in some aspects and identical in others. and you commented this 4 years ago. so you probably already figured all this out by now 100X over and my comment is totally pointless :)

some penetrant like 'kano kroil' or 'liquid wrench' or 'blaster pb penetrant' and a heavier hammer like a 1-1/2 or 2 lb hammer so it has some mass behind your swing... let the penetrant do its work first.. be firm but dont go crazy.
That penetrant is great stuff to have on hand anyhow if you find yourself doing any mechanical type handiwork from time to time..always stuck, rusted, impossible to remove nuts, bolts, screws, pins and fasteners...

Mike Vieira Yes, get the FSWERKS Short Shift Adapter, you won't need to remove the pin. took me 20 minutes to install it. it's brilliant.
