We are all in favour of bowling pitches but the problem with New York pitch is variable and dangerous bounce and that's why icc gives rating to pitches to make sure there remains some contest between bat and ball
I must sayIcc got pitches spot on except the new york. A bowler friendly t20 wc after a road ipl is so much fun. Long live 170-180 games.

New york pitches are good for Test and Odi , but in t20 its dangerous cuz player try to hit most of the ball. there is higher chance for players getting hurt.

Lively pitch and dangerous pitch are two different things. More side way movement is alright but variable bounce to this extent then it's not a good pitch and dangerous for playing. With India and Pak bowlers, it's not good.

How can it be an issue? they are both playing on the same surface. You're not always going to get your favourite surface in a different country but nobody gains an advantage because it's the same pitch. Your'e professionals, get over it.

It is challenging to bat, but not outright poor. Not every pitch needs to be a belter.
It's downright unsafe. It's not about difficulty, that level of variable bounce could kill someone

Pitches on which it turns or there's bounce and pace and seam movement are okay. Inconsistent pace and bounce is just bad for the game

I also prefer pitch and ground that favours the bowler more. But not this type of pitch. Even bowler doesn't know how pitch would react. 😂 Atleast it should be consistent in its behaviour. That way even bowler can take pride for his skill and not because of the inconsistent pitch.
We dont want to watch big scores ...but we love to watch the chase and eveyone should push their limits.

I think it's time Michael Atherton and Nasser Hussain stop calling t20 a lottery.. the better performing team on the day wins the game which is in no way a lottery.. it involves a lot of skill and planning to beat a team.. by calling it a lottery you are not only not acknowledging the team which actually played better cricket but it a convenient narrative to justify a teams loss
They kno test cricket, compared to test, T20 is a lottery. U r comparing 5 days to 4 hrs. Naturally winning a 4 hr game is a lottery.

Blame ICC/BCCI for the fact this tournament is happening during the Caribbean rainy season. Any sane person would’ve either moved this tournament back later, or asked IPL to break early/split the season. Ofc that will never happen because India and IPL specifically has all the power.
