I love this car could be buying one from a friend in the near future but I now learned that you have to take out the engine to replace the timing chain. Not good

Cool vid but you are wrong mate, the E90 was produced between 2005 and 2012. Also in autumn 2008 the LCI(facelift) model was launched.
