Unstoppable fine british jazz-funk machine. Great trombone soloing. Underrated geniuses.
👌👌👌👏👏👏👏🏽
Wow, these guys are an absolute funk machine, then and now!
I saw them at Hammersmith Odeon in 1981. This may well be the very gig!! They were indeed FIYAHHH!!! RIP Paul "Tubbs" Williams.
He was an absolute *MACHINE* on that bass!
Lucky enough to have seen them twice live in the late 70s, the whole 8 of them!! Great band................
My favorite band period!
I was there!
Always tight horns! These guys made me move on to song music making / writing in my youth and beyond. InBlaq!
I was 17 bought round trip fav band
Thankyou for the joy you brought to the life of my whole family especially in Summer time.....Happy days🔥
I'm just STARING at their Handsome faces...
We had great British R&B talent in the late seventies and early eighties but they weren't allowed flourish by the power that be. You know why ........
Must of seen them 6 or 7 times back in the day. The gig at the Royalty in London stands out, but they always kicked ass.
London was burning 🔥 4 real 💯🚀
Woooow, the must groovy stuff I`ve ever heard
yes , Time went by....
I was at this gig. Bluey once said that Mark King purposely ran into LoTW's sound check time so they didn't get to practise.
One of the best British outfits light of the would showing it wasn't just the American's that could bring out good jazz funk music
I was there!
So was I, if I remember correctly , Level 42 were the support band.
@@trevorbeaven3093 Yes Bro! I remember we were right at the back and up high... on the 'second' floor?
We were there as members of "The International Academy of Funk" (a Funk appreciation society, t'was the first community Organisation I belonged to - do you remember it?), someone called Cassius and his mates ran it, outta Ladbroke Grove but I ain't gonna lie; I don't remember the Support Act 😊 !
You could be right though, but... Wow, it was so long ago !
I was there to. Bluey once said that Mark King purposely ran into LoTW's sound check time so they didn't get to practise.
