Hi Sarah! A little late on this video but just wanted to say thank you! I'm a product designer but I'm just starting to learn about UX research and these couple of days I've learned so much from your videos that I almost cry of excitement knowing you gave this away for free! It's all completely gold and I'm looking forward to apply all these practices, thank you for sharing!
I do user research, but I’m definitely going to incorporate graphics into it like you did. I feel it will make it more engaging and people would be happy to pour out more of their thoughts.
I really liked the first part where you explained how you're trying to determine where the user is and where the user wants to be. It is only logical to determine the obstacles after finding these two points.
Thank you so much for this, have done research surveys before and with the new knowledge from you. I know I didn’t do it right and why I got the kind of results I got. Thank you I will be implementing this in my new survey questions.
Sarah, I just wanted to say a big thank you for sharing your research steps. I learned so much from it! Your generosity in sharing your knowledge is much appreciated, and I'm sure it will come back to you in spades. Keep up the great work!
Hi Sarah, thank you so much for this video. I didn't want it to end This is an absolute gold mine of information. I usually ask myself why people don't leave long form answers on my surveys but now I know how to get this kind of answer. Thank you 😊
This was very helpful. You broke down your perspective well and introduced me to a new tool (the program to analyze words in one's text). I appreciate your efforts as it has given me direction as an aspiring UI/UX Designer 🌺
Sarah! This is absolutely a goldmine of valuable information. Thank you SO so much for sharing your personal story and how you used user research surveys in an actual real life example. I'm going to now look into your book and get it!! Excited to read :)
Sarah, this is amazing. I am trying to build a solution for a wicked problem. Before I start with user interviews, I want to do the survey to understand the target group and the present problems they may be facing. thank you for the step by step journey.
this is super useful and very easy to follow. Thanks for sharing your tools and your process. I´d love to be in a full seminar learning this stuff... tks so much.
This was very helpful, Sarah. Thank you for sharing. I'm struggling with some difficult stakeholders a lot. My organization is beyond low UX maturity, but they aren't high UX maturity, either. I feel like it's a real fight to gain access to some of our clients' users for research. They are all for user research, but when it comes down to asking to speak with the users, people drag their feet. Frustrating, as I feel I can't do a good job with my UX efforts and thus I feel that I'm being set up for failure, unknowingly by my stakeholders.
Hi Sarah ! Thanks for sharing your method of making survey forms. I had one question how can I get more responses to survey. What can we do get more people fill survey with limited resources
Hey Sarah, thank you so much for sharing this video. I'm still haven't had the opportunity to do a survey but this video was really helpful and inspiring. What I found really helpful is the importance of asking the right questions, how to write them so the participants give real life answers.
Glad it was helpful! EXACTLY!!! Asking the question in the right way can help encourage someone to recount a previous story rather than have them think "hmm, what might I do if this happened". A big difference between an event that happened versus a hypothetical response :)
This is a great video on user research survey, learnt something related to user research. I think you can make better visuals on your presentation and good marketing, so that you can reach more audience.
Thanks Sarah for the insightful video. Would like to know more tips about how few UI/UX designers work together or UX project management related topic. Thanks!
Hey, thanks for the video. One question: I see you can either conduct a survey or interview to understand your user persona. But when do you know which method to use?
Hi Sarah, this video is amazing. Thanks for sharing it. Question...you mention this is a low cost solution, do you mind sharing an estimated cost and time consumption of this process? Thanks in advance for your response
Learned a lot! Thank you so much! Just in need as a student learning user research! Really curious how did you learn these skills such as the way to phrase research questions? is it by long time research experience or by reading any book? Is there any book you would recommend that could be used as golden rules in research? Thank you again! An audiance from Sydney:)
Hi Sarah! Awesome stream of informations, thanks! I'm a UX student who's got a little problem: how can you effectively get targeted people into complete the survey? I mean, take me: I've got no Facebook and I've tried my IG following (whose not so in target with my idea). 0 answers! 😂 Do you know any other ways to share surveys? Thanks, however, for your informations! 😉

Try watching this: ruclips.net/video/RP84pQ-PqgA/видео.html
How many surveys you recommend to do so it's something representative of a group of users?
Are slides available for live attendees? (Sorry if you covered this already or answered the same question here)
No, the slides aren't available!
How do you decide what questions are important?
Maybe you have learned one or two things?
I have learned a trove!!!
Thank you or sharing!
Thankyou 🙂
You’re welcome 😊
