ah man the beans is so much better now! I bought an older version and put the return line in the fuel tank inlet (as recommended). Only problem is the sump is right under it so it draws in air at half a tank! So now I'm having to re-route the return. The return at the sump is such a nice solution! Great video
That one barb on the sump is for a quick connect fitting. It is NOT a push lock connector

So I have a 1st gen airdog on my duramax. People always talk about how quiet airdog is. Mine definitely is not. Maybe it's cuz it's the older model.
Older AirDog units and the original style will be louder. The newer 4G and now 5G systems are VERY quiet.
Great video but just wondering what you do with the feed Line in the oem sending unit if the new one goes from the sump pump to the lift pump?

Nice video but proper practice, especially having a sump, is to just gut your stock lift pump and just leave the fuel level float. Great content regardless 👍🏼
May I ask what the cons of leaving the original sending unit intact would be as I will be installing one in the near future.
I have a lb7 with an airdog 150 pump. If I upgrade to a pureflow, will I need to upgrade the wiring harness as well.
So if I added that on my truck would I have to get bigger injectors?

Why is some people take the fuel pum out and start cutting some wires???
Just having on installed in my 02 going to pick it up in 30 mins . Shop said fuel gage isn't right . But before I took it to them it worked perfectly any ideas? I have ran it down to 50 miles till empty never ran out of fuel gas needle was correct
I know this is an old video, but did you just leave the factory lines on the fuel filter housing for the return? Or did you take the feed line off of it?

Airdog says they're CARB legal so pretty much if Kalifornia likes it you're good.
Why not just install new fuel line to the tank then into a secondary rear mounted fuel filter (added) 180.00 and then 1/2” fuel line from that all the way to the cp3?
No airdog… if he’s just fixing a leaking filter housing that’s way cheaper and a straight 1/2” line rear filter to cp3…

I do it all the time. Cheaper labor for install. Proven leak free design. No chance of sending unit tube cracking or leaking. A lot easier on your lift pump. Numerous benefits with very little risk. Oh wait it hangs down an extra what 2 inches big whoop!
