this movie deserves worldwide recognition. I've seen it & definitely recommend it to watch 😍😍😍 the acting and cinematography are superb & of course, the actors perfectly fit roles. not to mention, Oleg Zagorodnii aka Roman is so handsome ♥️♥️♥️
This movie really hit home with me as I too lost my true love. Even though I lost my true love to his lies and deceit rather than to death, the heartbreak and heartache hurt no less because what I had to endure. It was his lies and deceit that ultimately destroyed the unconditional friendship, love and devotion I had for him. It took years for me to forget and get over him, which included moving 2,000 mile as away from him and many nights of crying myself to sleep, asking myself "why" and "what have I done to deserve this" to heal. Now, 10 years later, I can actually communicate with him without reigniting my emotions. Tom and Oleg executed their roles extremely well and played convincing lovers. I only wish the movie and as well as the real life love affair had a happy ending. RIP ROMAN and SERGEY.
Tom Prior is a uniquely exceptional youngman. Admire his courage, passion, and his artistic vision, especially with the Firebird film project. He's clearly grasped the fact that stories well-told can change the world. Audience understandability from a film's actors is paramount, with accents only imparting the flavor of another language or nationality. Anything more gets in the way. Doesn't hurt a bit that Tom's also HAF. Moves his mouth in the most seductive manner when speaking which by itself puts him in a rare actor category. And then all the devotion to developing his body's shape and definition (It ain't easy!) proves just how committed he is to his professional career. Directors and producers take note: Lots of us want to see more of Tom Prior in major film projects. Do not typecast this charismatic actor or limit him by sexual definitions. Several major hits come to mind where Tom would've made a stunningly better casting choice for the lead than who was selected and merely "phoned it in."
If anyone is curious, I found an interview that holds a picture of the real life Sergey embracing a brown haired man whom looks similarly to the actor that plays Roman in the film. I have the suspicion that this is the real Roman. Forward the video to 2:38. ruclips.net/video/QbntkyoSO8Q/видео.htmlsi=YSLCznmE6jXv-Hkn
I felt sorry for the other guy there. He didn't get to speak much as the interviewer only kept asking TP questions and putting the mike in front of him....
I wouldn't feel sorry for him. I bet he was glad that he got away with only 1 question. You can see by his gestures (and hear from his answer) that his English leaves a lot to be desired and he was quite tense all this time trying to understand what his colleagues are talking about.

Was Roman gay or bisexual? Was he in love with Louisa or was he using her as a cover?
