I’ve had this for a couple of months now, and I’m delighted. Nice build quality and versatility. Particularly love the packaging including a great case and every possible accessory, cables and adapters. I’ve used in both upper and lower band ranges without issue. And the timecode integration with the TC-1 and SL-1 make a wonderful package. What a great company.
I purchased the two channel system from Gotham in Dec. 2023. I have used it for live news and small corporate work. I'm pleased and honestly surprised how well it works. Had in New Hampshire outside in cold weather during the primary and had no problems. I Used the 900 band and had no issues. The system fits in with my other wireless as well. It matches well with my lectrosonics LRLT, Sennheiser ew500, and Sony D21&D26 systems. A real bonus is that my sennheiser wired mics will work with the deity transmitters. I will say that I used the W lav pro mics provided in the kit, and they worked just fine. Overall I'm really happy with the purchase. The price point with everything provided is more than acceptable. Having a company like Gotham committed to the product shows me I made good purchase. But to qoute the Dude..."That's just your opinion Man...."
Thanks for the thorough information and features. Just got mine and this defiantly helped shortened the learning curve. Thx to Gotham and Andrew for taking the time!
For the RX, I'd like to see an option to output timecode, for either cam hops where a mono sum signal is fine for post or for auxiliary DSLR cameras. So for the big cams, one output is audio Left/Right and the second output is timecode .For the DSLR, one stereo output, the left channel could be either one ISO or a mix of the two mics to mono (for reference) and the right channel would be timecode.
I'm honestly surprised the Theos doesn't already do this, when the much cheaper TC-1 can output timecode and scratch audio in separate channels, and the Tentacle Track e can output timecode and audio passthrough on separate channels.
What a feature packed set for the price point. Really pushed the envelope among all manufacturers with this release team Deity. Good to see you Andrew since we last met in 2017, great career move to Deity! You guys are disrupting the marketplace, and how! Congratulations on your progress.
The current shipping estimate we're told is April 2024. Updates are kept posted with the best information we have at www.gothamsound.com/product/pr-2-pocket-recorder
Amazing for the price compared to some other systems. I do know of pre release range tests done here in the UK and they fared very well compared to the other end of the market. A multichannel receiver with dante + analogue and a mini tx would be great. If the up an coming pr2 recorder could also use USB class 2 compliance and multichannel record, it would be perfect to use with my sonosax SXM2D2.
Technically you should have an FCC license to operate in 940 to 960 in the United States. To my understanding 902 to 928 is completely illegal in the United States.
Hey, I have a very specific problem, any helpful insights would be appreciated. I am connecting the theos via USB to my iphone (13, so lightening connector). I am using a simple OTG adapter: lightening to Female USB A and then an A to C cable for the Theos. It works, but its breaking up. I think it might have something to do with the fact that the Theos is being powered from USB and not from the AA batteries, which I can’t find an option to switch off. If anyone has any useful info or idea how to try and fix it, I’d appreciate the help 😀
I'm confused. Is there a difference between the deity theos and deity digital wireless. Or it's the same. I was about to make the order but I'm confused

Thank you for your insights. Have you also used Sennheiser MKE-2 with this system?
@vothography I haven't, but I have used my countryman B3s. I did change the power on the transmitters from 3 to 5 volts.
The B3s are wired for Sennheiser

22:04 This is the BEST unboxing evar! Thanks for going through in all the detail. I feel like I actually bought the kit (even though I haven't 😸)

that would be perfect! high quality 32bin recording on the two TXs and stereo-to-mono with TC into the camera... DEITY please DO!

Great thank you guys ❤️ I bought deity last month and I live in Switzerland 🇨🇭 Deity works amazing
thanks guys great video!
Just received and it was great to see this video freshly available, a quick start guide would be cool to include in the packaging.

Didn't know the big shows were using the W Lav Pro's 👍🏼 @27:57
its insane, thx so much.
Wow! So many features! This should push their competitors to release new features. Just ordered mine for wireless camera hop.
So thorough. Very tempting kit.
Any interest in buying Aaton?

Where's the plug-on HD-Tx replacement?

Is a smartphone the only way to monitor these wireless mics?
For you need 940-960 you need an FCC license to operate in those frequencies do you need one for 902 to 928?
Technically you should have an FCC license to operate in 940 to 960 in the United States. To my understanding 902 to 928 is completely illegal in the United States.
@@nickhuston4510 902 to 928 is Legal, no? I have the Theos and it lets me choose this frequency range.
@@eriksonderlonBeing able to choose this frequency range doesn't mean it's legal.
Is it possible to connect the pr-2 with the theos receiver?
The PR2 will not connect with the Theos receiver.
@@njh209is the pr-2 an only record unit? No capacity to transmit audio signal to any kind of device?
Has anyone used Sennheiser's MKE-2 with this system?
I'm receiving only a very low signal inside the transmitter.

They are the same. The Theos is the name of Deity digital wireless system.
@@nickhuston4510 Thank you, Sir! I appreciate🙏!
