When I babysit my niece and nephews I will take some small clip videos of them throughout the time I’m there and then whenever I need to leave them in the living room alone (making a cuppa, popping to the toilet, making food etc) I remind them not to be naughty because I’m watching them on camera. They always ask to see footage first to check the camera is still working so I show them some of the sneaky clips and they never misbehave when I’m out of the room. They also always try to find my hidden camera 🤣 I also agree with the library card suggestions people have made. Makes a fun outing to pick books and makes the kids love reading even more when they’ve picked the books ❤

A little tip… buy like the roald Dahl series and read a chapter a night… then they’ll be excited to go to bed because they will want to know what happens next. At least then it’s not the same old for you too. Let them kick their legs let them squirm around, my girl did but she still listened and she is now 6 reading Harry Potter to me. It’s so good for them. X

With getting bored of book.. I am the same! But ti save storing loads of book. We borrow a few new ones a week from the library. Easy to rotate and an activity to get the kids out 😊
My confession is , while doing the elves on the shelves for my little sister i made them switch the sugar for salt, days later we all forgot and when my family were having their morning coffees they all convinced themselves that the coffee had expired and it took them weeks to figure out that it wasnt the coffee but they were adding salt the whole time heheh xx
my confession is when i was drying my hair i left the dryer on my mums bed on and it burnt the blanket and she asked who it was and i said the sun when UK gets no sun 😰😰

a book i recommend for you to read to the girls at night is Busy Busy World, it’s a book with multiple stories to choose from in one so you can pick a different one every night, i used to love it as a kid
I love opening an advent door every day but but really wanted some treats and didn’t have any in really so decided to eat all of my partners advent calendar in one go one evening so I could still have mine every morning and when he found out I blamed the dog🙈😂🤞🏼
My confession is that I went for a Christmas breakfast all on my own, it was so good. My Mum then came to visit and insisted we go out for lunch (same venue), I immediately faked a terrible migraine and had to lay down 😂 No way I could back there after enjoying an all you can eat breakfast a couple of hours before!!!!
Good tip for bedtime get the girls a library card they pick their books for the weeks bedtime story's every week different books no one gets bored. I don't think it's a confession but I made my mum feel guilty about not buying her grandson aged 13 a Christmas calendar as she said he is told old 😂😂 she felt so bad she brought myself, partner and her grandson one. Bonus I'm 31 and still get a calendar I was winding the old girl up bit she felt bad. If you choose me please could you donate the money to helping animals, homelessness or helping a lonely elderly person this Christmas xx
