Let me explain the concept. They're all singers from the Netherlands. In every episode, one of the singers will be interviewd and the other singers will be singing a song for that person. So they choose a song of that person or they choose a song that means a lot to that person. Duncan was singing 'I do' for Douwe Bob (which is originally a song of Douwe Bob).

The song Duncan sings was a self-written song by Douwe Bob. He wrote the song in response to a failed relationship. That's why Douwe Bob has tears in his eyes. Also because Duncan sings it so beautifully.

"I Do" is a song by the Dutch singers Douwe Bob and Jacqueline Govaert. The song appeared on Bob's 2018 album The Shape I'm In. The guy Douwe gets emotional because Duncan sings his song !
The show takes several singers from different genre and in each episode one is placed central on the couch. They share stories and the others sing a song that has a meaning for the central person. It can be an own song or a song that remembers to a happening. So there is fun and a lot of emotional feelings going on. The last episode is a duet episode where each singer has to choose one of the others to do a duet. The beauty of this concept is that because all singers are from different music genres it is sometimes needed to stap out their own music comfort zone or change the song into their music comfort zone.
A very populair and international famous song Arcade, written by Duncan Lawrence, performed at the Eurovision song contest 2023 and went viral because he actually won it for the Netherlands in that year ( O lord i love that song so much) was covered by Numidia in this show and was also mindblowing and so emotional. I hope this show "Beste Zangers" will never end. Such a great concept, I have been enjoying this from the beginning (14 years check it out)and boy I think this would work global... If only I wish how to do that❤

No, i think that Douwe Bob (the guy for whom Duncan this song sings) wrote this song in which Duncan makes his own version especially for Douwe and ofcourse the concept of the television program. The idea every year is to put famous artists together to one location for weeks. Every broadcasting stands one of the artists central and the other artists perform a song of him/her. That can be own material but also a song in which the artist is inspired. Example. Douwe Bob is a singer-songwriter and maybe he is inspired to Bob Dylan. Duncan could than also sing a song of Bob Dylan. The artists may choose by them selve which song they want to perform. The other artists are sitting on the couch and the host sits always next to the artist which is central. (in this case Douwe Bob). My English is not the best i hope its clear hahaha.
