Thank you. But why? The reason I ask is that I've had 1400 views on it and I don't know why 🤣

The church was completely rebuilt, except the chancel, in 1855

Yeah, I read that afterwards. Does explain a lot to be honest. Still, lovely little church even if the current structure isn't that old.

I hate it when Victorians decided to just demolish a 800+ year old church.

@Delabane Yep, sounds about right for the Victorians. They did the same with the Priory Of Grace Dieu. Moved the ruins around to make it more 'poetic' 😳

@@marcsghostycorner4336 I hate the Victorians. They vandalised so much history to fit thier warped narrative on what it should have been not what it was. They had this fake veneer of morality and so called values and yet they were the biggest perverts, classists, racists about who had children going down mines and going up chimneys.

@@marcsghostycorner4336 Probably thought you were the local riff-raff there to nick lead or something ;) Its funny, while Church of England don't try and press gang you into joining thier religion, some of them come access as the least Christian in terms of their temperament and indulgence! It's more like a club for villagers who want to be traditional and snobby.
