The mangaka designed Shiggys appearance as a meld of his two personalities. Shiggy with the rags because he doesnt care what he wears or looks like, and AFO who likes to dress nice in a suit.

Hello 👋 i am not sure you understood when she said when all might saved her. let me explain she was the girl in the first my hero academia movie called two heroes in the beginning of the film all might had a flash back on when he met his united states friend David Shield. in the flash back the robber was about run over a car in traffic that was stars and stripes family and her younger sister and young all might come to save that event was 20 years ago. go check it out the movie to get what i mean. That little girl become inspired by all might and become stars and stripes i love how she calls all might "master" the amount of respect she has for him shows in this episode. who would have thought that little girl in the my hero academia first film was her that is crazy. soo beautiful ❤

In the manga, we're super close to the end. The anime isn't that far behind, so if you want to stay "Anime Only," you're still good. In fact, I would recommend it.
Otherwise, if you start the manga at the very beginning, that's okay. Binge-reading, the manga is just as impactful as the anime. But the anime has added "Anime original" touches that aren't in the manga. They're add-ons that enhance the story, but don't change it.
In any case, buckle up. Season 7 will be an entire roller coaster!

If you haven't seen the movies yet, go watch them!!!!!! They're super hype and the first one was actually referenced this episode!! There's also the Vigilantes and Team Up Missions side mangas if you want more content without reading ahead. Vigilantes is a prequel series that includes Kurogiri's backstory and how he became a nomu. Haven't read Team Up Missions yet but it sounds super fun. Apparently it's about our students teaming up with other pros/schools for missions in ways that aren't going to happen in the main series but that the writer wanted to see happen.
