I completely agree. The hate this anime gets is so unnecessary and feels forced at times. It might have to do with the fandom, which they kinda ruined the reputation of this amazing anime. But unfortunately, people just let other people ruin their enjoyment for whatever reason. And it’s annoying seeing so many people being so persistent on trying to say this series is “bad”, “mid” or “fell off” about a show that’s really freaking good, and was never bad, mid or fell off in the first place. Don’t get me wrong, I have some criticisms about the series mainly towards the 3rd act and I feel like there were some missed opportunities in the series, that hinders it from being a great anime. But with everything else it’s done, it’s still a really freaking good anime/manga. There are anime’s in my opinion that I think are actually “bad”, “mid” or “fell off” for pretty obvious reasons like Rising Of The Shield Hero, Psycho-Pass, Seven Deadly Sins, Rent-a girlfriend, SAO or The Promised Neverland and to put MHA in the same ballpark as those series is just utter nonsense.

Which btw, Bakugo IS the reason of why Izuku NEVER tried to train as his subconsciousness think there is no point of doing so as now one would care and it wouldn't help him to become a hero no matter what, even though he saved Bakugo the heroes were mad at him. And when finally someone All Might told him that he can he become a hero he cried which WOULD make sense after these 10 YEARS of being IGNORED. So yeah, he WOULD BE a "crybaby" and can't talk to even girls or anyone else for that matter. Which is WHY people think he has no development WHICH IS NOT TRUE. Truly overhated. One of the complaints I've heard is that the dark moments always end up having a happy resolution. It's a shonen, it can't go all the way to Berserk-dark and have characters dying left and right. It is a good story, not the greatest, but definitely something you can enjoy. In fact, is there something as the perfect anime? People are so obsessed with perfection, but no series really is.

Sure, i have ships and head-canons that i like because i think that would look good together or is just wholesome, but if it doesn’t end up being canon thats ok. Im not gonna go on a rampage bc something that I want didn’t happen. It’s Horikoshi’s story, he gets to decide what happens and if the fandom can’t accept that, that’s their problem.

My take is that people just want something to hate on, are following the hate train, or are too proud and stubborn to admit that hey, maybe we might be wrong, might have judged it unfairly, and maybe this show is actually good. I know a ton of people (big youtubers included) who were singing praises to the show in the 1st 3 seasons, and once it became popular to hate on it, they changed their tune completely. A lot of it too was completely for dumb reasons. I understand that if you don't like the show because the MC is a crybaby, for many people, that is a preference, but that does not make the show objectively bad. I know for a fact too that this is the case because there was a moment in the manga where Horikoshi makes a decision, and people jump on that decision for being "bad storywriting", and THE SECOND he has something that saves them (Oh look, a moment where someone is saved in a story about superheroes), the call him a scaredy cat that is too afraid to take risks. (It was literally in 1 chapter's comments, then the next chapter's comments where people were flipflopping). It honestly reminds me of overwatch. From what I can see, it's a great game; But no matter what the Developers do in terms of balance, every choice they make is a shit choice. From that point, I am not defending their scummy business practices, but from strictly a casual gameplay standpoint. But the same thing applies to Horikoshi, no matter what decision he makes, people just don't want to let go of that negative image and will jump at every choice he makes, regardless of whether or not it is a good or bad one. I'm not going to say the show doesn't have it's faults, a ton of shows have them and no show is perfect; but you cannot sit there and tell me that this show has shit writing, no stakes, and is mid when there are other shows that have the exact same faults yet is given a pass or is not talked about because of how it has peak animation. (Looking at several other modern Mappa and UFOtable animes).

    Yes.

This whole comment is just to explain all the hate on MHA.
    Going through 3 things.
    1.The Deku Hate
    2.The Fandom
    3.The Story.
Starting off with the deku hate.
i rewatched every episode of season 1 he cried 17 times
He mostly cried in the first episode
Most episodes he didnt even cry at all
He mostly cried multiple times in the same episode
Plus some of his crying scenes were just little gag scenes
Also he has plenty of good reasons to cry
Imagine being a quirkless child in a world where 80% of people have a superpower and the other 20% dont
And your one of them people in the 20%
And your dream is to become and a hero and save people and become like your idol.
But you cant because you dont have a quirk.
Then people non stop bully you at school.
    Call you Quirkless, Powerless, Useless.
And they keep on telling you to kill yourself.
Im pretty sure thats a good reason to cry.
And ofc you would cry when you or your friends almost die.
Plus in season 1 deku broke his bones when he used to use his power.
Is it not normal to cry when your break both your legs and both your arms?
    Like for fuck sake
Shut up about the deku hate.
Its been going on for too long and its just so dumb and idiotic.
    And for the fandom.
Mhas fandom is the same like any other fandom out there.
Your telling me that NO other anime fandom has Gay shippers, toxic fans and cringy cosplayers?
We all forgetting Naruto x Sasuke? L x Light? Goku x vegeta?
    Like come on.
Its just fr hating on mha just because its a new gen anime.
The fans arnt even that toxic as well.
And these people on the internet who havent seen mha at all will see all these dickheads posting shit about mha and how its so bad and they will stupidly believe them.
If you literally look up on youtube like “mha hater reacts to mha” you will notice that they will say tons of shit at the beginning of the video and then by the end they would be like “ngl this is so fucking cool, deku looks so fucking badass i need to watch this.”
Some people would refuse to watch mha NO MATTER WHAT because they WANT to hate it.
Also the fandom is VERY easy to ignore. If you cant ignore it your just a stupid disabled dumbass. You cant even ignore a couple of weirdos saying “deku x bakugo is best ship 🤓” Cmon.
I’ve personally had no problems with the mha fandom at all.
Ive been a fan for years and havent encountered anyone bad. Every one ive met is very nice. And im just a normal fan of the series.
    But the point is that.
THE FANDOM DOES NOT EFFECT THE THE ANIME OR MANGA AT ALL
    If it does for you.
    Then your a weak b*tch.
    Anyway.
    The manga is great
The anime is great too they could use a bit of tidying up in some places but other than that its fine
It has great quality, amazing detail and the story isnt that bad. If the story isnt great for you. Thats fine. DONT GO AND FUCKING TALK SHIT ABOUT IT.
If u dont like it thats your opinion. But dont go and talk massive amounts of shit about it keep it to yourself.
Its very clear that its a great manga. It literally has over 100,000,000 copies sold.
It is up there with some of the most popular anime manga.
The mha hate has gone on the too long. Its literally been going on for like a fucking decade. Its fucking stupid and tiring seeing people still hate on it. But thats the thing.
Old haters of mha have probably gotten tired of it. And they have probably just ignored hating on it now or they have decided to end up watching it but all of that hate from the past is still being shared to people nowadays.
People are way too stubborn. And way to stupid.
People watch the first episode then say the anime is shit. Without a fucking chance.
All im saying is. Dont always believe what people are saying on the internet. And just give it a chance. If u dont like it. Keep watching or reading and maybe you will start enjoying it. If you cant. Your weak minded.
    Peace 💜

Extremely overhated for no or terrible reasons.
Disliking a fanbase is one thing but don't let the fandom ruin the chances of you enjoying the source material.
It's not perfect sure, like the animation throughout some seasons does drop in quality but that alone doesn't ruin anything. As an aspiring animator myself I know that the quality of story is greater than quality of visuals.
There also may seem to be a lack of real consequence for Deku that a lot of people have complained about but so what? It still manages to be interesting an unpredictable even if it is a "safe" anime. It's not like he or those around him still haven't been hurt at all. And death does still happen all over the place.
Granted the earliest seasons weren't anything fantastic but they were more to ease people into character introduction and world explaining. Folks can't say the show is so trash when it's still one of the most popular out there. It's up there with Attack on Titan, Demon Slayer, and Jujutsu Kaisen.
People should just give it a chance. More than just the first 13 episode long season.

how does deku cry too much thats a big complaint by many but its not like he cries overly, he cries in emotional moments and hes a 15 -16 years old. He is still a child and has had a ton of reasons to cry in the moments he has. Any of us would probably cry more than deku in these moments and hes developed a lot in the later parts of the series and has toughened up when he needed to. You also forget when hes fighting hes not crying for no reason if tears come out he is literally shattering his whole arm, figer, or body thats a natural body response.

Yes. It's a good series with a lot of evident passion behind the story and characters. It's had some bumps along the way and the visuals can be bland, but that's not nearly enough to take away how great the show can be. Not to mention the fanbase has nothing to do with the quality of the show itself, and yet that's the only thing anyone can talk about when criticizing it.

Definitely Overhated. Its easy to get invested in MHA thanks to the characters (Even if Deku is annoying to some) in my opinion. It just really bothers me that MHA is one of the things that unquestionably gets hated on while there are other things that are in my opinion objectively worse.
You say MHA is bad, and no one bats an eye, but you criticize (For example) Harry Potter, and everybody loses their minds!
Anyhow, thats just my opinion on it.

I don’t think the show is overhated necessarily, but I do think that people’s hatred is not valid. If your excuse for hating a show is the fan base, you gotta grow up. It doesn’t feel like they actually hate the show it just feels like they’re trying to disassociate themselves with the fan base so much that they’re willing to hate it for that reason alone. A lot of people don’t hate the show they just really don’t wanna like it.

I only just recently watched it and I'm new to anime. Before anime became mainstream, i always wanted to try and watch them but i didnt have enough motivation to do so. I heard a lot about MHA during that time period.
Two months ago, i finally had that type of 'anime craze' and the motivation so decided to try and watch it. I told my friends who are anime fans and they literally warned me on watching it due to their fanbase. After that, i just watched it and i instantly love it. Only after i was catching up to recent episodes that i knew how the fandom is.
Based on my experience and opinion, yes the anime is overhated and it is overshadowed by the fandom. Even now when i say i want to watch it to my friends, they would cringe the hell out of my statement because they loathe the fandom. Only one of them said that they don't like the story, saying that it strays away from what made it special in the first place and i understand that.

I agree that its overhated, but for me, season 6 partially felt out of nowhere for me, maybe its because I forgot what happened in previous seasons, but it also felt rushed to me, im not sure but I'm definitely gonna try getting back into the show

  • @Ghost-Toast819

It’s overheated because it tries to appeal to too many people. Some say that there are no consequences and when they appeal to that crowd and ruin cool ideas it makes the people that like happier ending not like it.

The show is overhated definetly, and i blame the notorious toxic fandom. I took a break from the anime and manga to kinda let it progress, and when i came back to the manga, it was just when the epilogue was released. Holy hell is it peak. This show is one that understands one thing, and even AFO says it. "Heroes don't have a monopoly on comebacks or power ups". Even the villains get those power up moments like Dabi, Shigaraki, Twice and Toga. The only thing it lacks is a war arc where there were actual consequences, but other than that, it's great.

  • @TheSFMWonderer

I think the problem with the hate is that it’s mostly the fault of the insane side of the fan base, which me and many others apologies for, if MHA had a tamer fan base then people would probably like the show and series as a whole a lot better.

  • @thefifth8362
    @thefifth8362 Месяц назад

Any fanbase can be toxic if you look long enough. I think the reason it's over hated is simple. It's too popular and friends/fans bugged them so much they might just hate it out of spite. Trust me we have all been there. Its a good show and honestly I would like a RPG to be made where one can create their own hero. Maybe like DBZ Xenoverse but without the time traveling or maybe more open world or even persona like with school life. To the haters, there is a silver lining. This is the last season and outside the last movie the story will be done. Now if they make the spin-off manga into an anime that will be fun.

Yeah I was thinking the same. Tbh I've seen more people who absolutely hate my hero academia, naruto and few other anime for their fandom and the show itself as compared to what they claim. Plus I think both the shows are quite decent what it wants to show and for the time they were released.

Yeah the show is definitely overhated most due to the community imo which is a shame because the show itself is actually decent, not ground breaking by any means but it’s a good show that’s ruined by the toxic side of the fan base which inturn generates a negative view of the show

m'y hero is hated too much of the fanbase which mostly consists of weird shipping and makes people shift from the anime and people hate the main character from being a cry baby but my hero has actually a really good story and its cool because some time they are some badass violent scenes that consists of blood unlike one piece (one piece is a good anime) but over all my hero is over hated
