Ariane 6: Launchpad testing

- It has been an exciting and busy summer for the European Space Agency, with development and testing of its new Ariane 6 launcher. At Europe’s spaceport in, French Guiana, a test model of the launcher’s central core was assembled for the first time. Ariane 6 is the first Ariane rocket to be assembled horizontally, which is simpler and less costly than more traditional vertical assembly. Then, the rocket was moved to its launchpad and placed upright in the massive mobile gantry for combined tests, to validate the compatibility between all components of the complete launch system. Soon more testing will be done on Ariane 6’s upper stage at a purpose-built @DLRde facility in Lampoldshausen, Germany.

The booster separation is going to be so satisfying.
Agree!😌
This would be the Kourou Lift Cross 😁
Kourou Lift Cross but with SRB’s. Can’t wait 😀
European Space program has been able to put many people to work on one goal and that’s the adventures of space travel.Thank you the information my favourite space site.
Our pleasure! 🚀❤️
It will be sad to see the Ariane 5 go but I can’t wait to see the Ariane 6 fly
Also Ariane space if you’re reading this please make better streams we want to see the rocket not bunch of clueless talking heads
What a great end of life to have perfectly sent the big james web telescop as one of its last flight.
@@sebpatu Ariane 5 has a also great final flight with the Juice projet :D
@@tecmons i did not know that. You are right it s a beautyfull project for a very last launch.
But the jwt is special because it was also a big challenge for the launcher itself! And ariane was chosen by americans because it was the only launcher capable of doing it (at the time) (nasa dont use ariane rest of the time) and also for its liability because a lost of the payload would be a ten years work lost...
And ariane did it so perfectly that the telescope got a much longer live espectation. So proud of the ariane espace teams for that.
Hope ariane 6 will be as good as ariane 5. But we can trust the teams. They know their field.
@@sebpatu Yes Ariane 5 has maked a perfect liftoof for send james webb to space :p and grown the live of the telescope :p, Ariane 6 has already project to send european lander to the moon with the mission heracles :D
@@tecmons and the esa moon village project 😍
It will be so cool to see Ariane 6 launch

YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NEW ROCKET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
😎🚀
Dommage que ce ne soit pas traduit en Français
Not entirely independent, though. There are still NO plans to have humans sent up on European designed and built rockets. This needs to change if Europe really wants to be independent and also for its own security too.
It cost a lot.
They choose to keep the russian partner.
But as now it is not possible anymore after ukrain
You can bet that europe will invest on it now.
At cnes and ariane espace people push for that as they have all technicall requirements. It only needs political will and money.
@@sebpatu Currently there is still US(still it might be quite a good thing to develop)
@@sebpatu I think CNES director mentionnend it a few months ago, with Europe proving its ability with life support modules and heavier launchers.
To be confirmed though.
@@dlrowolleh5855 yes the new management team us pushing hard for that even since before ukraine war.
But next november there is the inter ministers meeting of esa where european ministers will decide what projets will be financed. We will know more then.
Once ariane6 is ready the teams will have more time to work on such other ambitious projects.
But Ariane 6 send european moon lander : Heracles :)
