I was there right at this second. It was fucking awesome. Three years in a row.
Bonnaroo ‘10 we were there! in the back on mushrooms somewhere. watching this again 10 years later during lockdown literally just gave me the feels as i time pierced back in time i replayed my memory with the live recording. so dope!

Two things. No...three things:
1) I love the drummer. Nothing better than watching a drummer who looks like he's having the time of his life.
2) I love that you can hear the crowd singing along.
3) I fucking love this band!

Sometimes you get those high on life moments throughout your life. Trust me, being 2 rows from the front at this concert was one of those moments. The best show I've ever been to...by far.

I had never heard of them at the time, but I and made some friends at the festival who told me I had to see this set so I went. I was unbelievably blown away.

This is heartbreakingly beautiful. I'd never heard this song until 2020 but this performance has so much nostalgia and happiness to it. Phoenix made one of the best youth anthems of all time.

I always don't take my phone out of my bag during live concerts. I try to see band's performance with the naked eye and etch it into my memory. On the other hand I enjoy videos which other audiences film.

I can't imagine the amount of energy & commitment it takes for a band (and crew) to play live in a concert tour. How can they possibly meet the expectations of thousands of amped up, demanding fans day after day? And , for the sake of your entire identity, you don't want to be the one dude that totally blew it. So at the end of a week of brilliant but exhausting performances , you come back on stage and pick up your guitar. Your singer is lost in the crowd with a mic and an extension cord. Yet you find a way play on to and manage to pull off one of the best, most satisfying encores I've ever seen. That's a pretty rare amount of cool. I'd be glad that I had bought a ticket.

+Carlo Husmillo they were ending their show as Dave Matthew's was getting started. Our group skipped DMB. Phoenix is one of my favorite bands and they blew the roof off the place. At one point he climbed the 30 foot stage scaffolding and was singing from up there. They started off with a relatively small screwdriver by the end they had everyone.
i envy you. They came in my country for the first and only time last 2014 and I wasn't able to come :( I'll make sure I can go if they ever make another show. They're my favorite too!

I have had the pleasure of seeing Phoenix twice before. However, I am incredibly jealous that I didn't get to witness this performance live. This is the closest thing to perfection I've ever seen. The whole band absolutely nailed it. Incredible effort from all of them, particularly the drummer. You can see by Thomas's expression at the end of the performance that really went for it, so hard, and that they left everything out there on the stage at the end. I love 1901, and the epic encore at the end is perfection. I just close my eyes and imagine being there, in that crowd, the sun setting on me, living this incredible moment and letting the music hit me from all angles. That's how music should make you feel.
The sound they produce live is pretty incredible
