Bonnaroo ‘10 we were there! in the back on mushrooms somewhere. watching this again 10 years later during lockdown literally just gave me the feels as i time pierced back in time i replayed my memory with the live recording. so dope!
The crowd at that show, the band, the singer, the drummer, the sky, god everything seems so perfect in this video, every time I watch this live performance I feel goosebumps, I wish I could’ve actually been there
I wasn't there but I had a few of those moments at Bonnaroo in the earlier years, then years later at Firefly. Gives me goosebumps just thinking about it
Me too. Beautiful moments that hit like perfection are so rare in life…it’s hard not to get chills when they occur. You know it when you see/hear/feel it.
Sometimes you get those high on life moments throughout your life. Trust me, being 2 rows from the front at this concert was one of those moments. The best show I've ever been to...by far.
Two things. No...three things: 1) I love the drummer. Nothing better than watching a drummer who looks like he's having the time of his life. 2) I love that you can hear the crowd singing along. 3) I fucking love this band!
This song makes me feel like I'm flying through the skies. The whole crowd in this performance, the lighting, the band, everything just seems like the best ever. Absolute chills up my spine. Thank mother earth for music.
This show was the first time I took mdma. It changed me as a person. The guy I went to bonnaroo with that year passed away a few years back. Miss you beaver
This is heartbreakingly beautiful. I'd never heard this song until 2020 but this performance has so much nostalgia and happiness to it. Phoenix made one of the best youth anthems of all time.
the most powerful and spectacular live performance i've ever saw in youtube have seen it repeatedly for so many time, but it's still give me the exact goosebumps feeling every time i watched this vids..super awesome
I can't imagine the amount of energy & commitment it takes for a band (and crew) to play live in a concert tour. How can they possibly meet the expectations of thousands of amped up, demanding fans day after day? And , for the sake of your entire identity, you don't want to be the one dude that totally blew it. So at the end of a week of brilliant but exhausting performances , you come back on stage and pick up your guitar. Your singer is lost in the crowd with a mic and an extension cord. Yet you find a way play on to and manage to pull off one of the best, most satisfying encores I've ever seen. That's a pretty rare amount of cool. I'd be glad that I had bought a ticket.
This is the epitome of putting on a great show and giving your crowd and fans everything they wanted and MOREEE!!! this would have been so dope to see live!!! This is what live music is about!!!
this performance is so moving... tears well up (in a good way if you know what I mean...)... such love, such beauty. and I have only recently discovered Phoenix. poets. love them.
+Carlo Husmillo they were ending their show as Dave Matthew's was getting started. Our group skipped DMB. Phoenix is one of my favorite bands and they blew the roof off the place. At one point he climbed the 30 foot stage scaffolding and was singing from up there. They started off with a relatively small screwdriver by the end they had everyone.
i envy you. They came in my country for the first and only time last 2014 and I wasn't able to come :( I'll make sure I can go if they ever make another show. They're my favorite too!
Incredible. I have had the pleasure of seeing Phoenix twice before. However, I am incredibly jealous that I didn't get to witness this performance live. This is the closest thing to perfection I've ever seen. The whole band absolutely nailed it. Incredible effort from all of them, particularly the drummer. You can see by Thomas's expression at the end of the performance that really went for it, so hard, and that they left everything out there on the stage at the end. I love 1901, and the epic encore at the end is perfection. I just close my eyes and imagine being there, in that crowd, the sun setting on me, living this incredible moment and letting the music hit me from all angles. That's how music should make you feel.
VIVE PHOENIX
Imagine being at a festival listening to 1901 live as the sun sets
I was there right at this second. It was fucking awesome. Three years in a row.
Bonnaroo ‘10 we were there! in the back on mushrooms somewhere. watching this again 10 years later during lockdown literally just gave me the feels as i time pierced back in time i replayed my memory with the live recording. so dope!

Hunter Juneau Thomas Hedlund is such a great drummer :-D
Thomas Hedlund = good guy
The crowd at that show, the band, the singer, the drummer, the sky, god everything seems so perfect in this video, every time I watch this live performance I feel goosebumps, I wish I could’ve actually been there

Me too. Beautiful moments that hit like perfection are so rare in life…it’s hard not to get chills when they occur. You know it when you see/hear/feel it.

Sûr qu'il bat pas des oeufs la 🤣🤣 incroyable machine cet homme
Sometimes you get those high on life moments throughout your life. Trust me, being 2 rows from the front at this concert was one of those moments. The best show I've ever been to...by far.

Two things. No...three things:
1) I love the drummer. Nothing better than watching a drummer who looks like he's having the time of his life.
2) I love that you can hear the crowd singing along.
3) I fucking love this band!
There's nothing better than watching someone having fun. (Not trying to sound weird.)
what is that drummers name?
@@XxDarwinDharmilzxX Thomas Hedlund.
The best drummer in the entire planet. Thomas Hedlund, the pride of Sri Lanka. I guess this is the best French rock band.
+Ralph Smith I guess he's adopted, but he's Swedish...

Imagine being alone on Christmas in 2022 and watching this, or any live performance of Phoenix bc it brings the only happiness you will get that day?
That's it. I need to make friends and go to festivals and concerts every weekend.
do you have the money?
have you got friends yet?
Why need friends? Just go alone and make friends.
U've already got a friend in me! Let's go! :-)
We can be friends!! hahaha
Always coming back to this video to feel alive
I have listened to this song at least every week for a decade!! I love this live performance. ❤
that song was 109 yrs old at this show, and it still rocked
drummer is killin' the drums!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This song makes me feel like I'm flying through the skies. The whole crowd in this performance, the lighting, the band, everything just seems like the best ever. Absolute chills up my spine. Thank mother earth for music.
LAY OFF THE METH. IT DOESNT MAKE YOU FLY
This show was the first time I took mdma. It changed me as a person. The guy I went to bonnaroo with that year passed away a few years back. Miss you beaver
That moment went Phoenix went post-rock in that encore at the end. Amazing performance
It's been probably 6 years since I first watched this video, I was late to it then, I'm late now, but I keep coming back.
Was here, saw this, got the tshirt....amazing
Gives me chills every time I see this performance! Moves me emotionally, the audience and the band all became one
This performance left me in tears, such love, such beauty really.
Man, I really want to see these guys live!
+Zarreena Brown Amazing.

One of the greatest bands...
Ils ont joué à la cérémonie de clôture des JO de PARIS 2024. Ils ont mis le feu, c'était magnifique🙏🙏🙏
This looks INSANE who knew an American festival could have a crowd LIKE THIS
Bonnaroo is actually amazing
Dude…stop with the American can’t bullshit
I am so addicted to 4:10 - 5:00 their guitar's playing off each other is so good and catchy
And they’re brothers too
This is heartbreakingly beautiful. I'd never heard this song until 2020 but this performance has so much nostalgia and happiness to it. Phoenix made one of the best youth anthems of all time.
This was the best Bonnaroo, ever.
I really miss this band
Just saw them play tonight and had to come home and watch a few more songs. Man, what a great live band… still.
I was here. 20 years old. The world was still so full of wonder. Tech hadnt turned on us yet. We were alive. RIP beaver. We went together

One of the most underrated drummers in history.. Guy absolutely shreds!
Drummer is mad crazy
The purple and orange tones of the sunset at the background are sooo sweet!
I DIE for this Band! Wish they would tour on the U.S. East Coast more often
The ending is just... epic, what an amazing performance!
This set was so epic and totally made the festival that year. The sunset was absolutely gorgeous and Phoenix killed it!
Drummer is going hard! It's always great to see bands actually have fun on stage.

its crazy to think this was only 12 years ago and there were barely any cameras in sight
It was a beautiful time to see festivals.
i phone came out in 2008 or 2009 most ppl still just used flip phone or non touch screen phone w crappy cameras
His vocals are great live sounds like the studio version
I've finally been able to watch them live. My 15 year old self would be happy. They were even better live 😭

Nine years ago I watched this stunning live performance. And absolutely one of the greatest bands of our times!
I swear that would have been the sickest transition into an encore!

Phoenix 1 das minhas bandas favorita n__n
Brasil - Crato - Ceará
Oh, the "1, 2, 3, 4" countdown was in French :)
Great drummer
I would cry if I was at that show
It was the best show ive ever been to. The sunset, and all the passionate fans who skipped the headliner to be there!
what band was the headliner?
+Carlo Husmillo they were ending their show as Dave Matthew's was getting started. Our group skipped DMB. Phoenix is one of my favorite bands and they blew the roof off the place. At one point he climbed the 30 foot stage scaffolding and was singing from up there. They started off with a relatively small screwdriver by the end they had everyone.

One of the most underrated songs of the 2000s
the sun actually set during that song. awesome.
2024...!!! beautiful..
