We are in a golden age for acoustic guitars. You can get an amazing array of guitars at less than $2500. And the build quality is not necessarily exclusive to American made guitars. These Eastmans are going to rock some people. The QC people at the big three better watch out.
One thing I wonder is how the TC vs non-TC Eastmans will sound in 20 years or so. I've heard you give up some of the long term maturity for the instant gratification but this process is new enough that I think it's hard to make that call just yet. I have a Thermo-Cured Eastman E-10 OM. I really like and would buy others from them in the future like the E20-OM TC or E20-D TC.
I do not have the answer to your question. But I have a Yamaha FSX5 with what they call ARE (same as Termo Cured or Torrified) and that guitar opened up bigtime after a year of heavy playing. It is stunningly good ! So I guess we just cheat a little at the beginning ;)
I'm an old school (and old..) guitar guy.., seems there is a new gimmick daily.., torrification, sound ports, etc., etc., my two-cents, let your guitar age naturally... this is certainly a nice looking and sounding guitar, personally, I went with the standard E20OM and couldn't be happier...
I bought the regular one a couple of weeks ago, guess I’m going to have to break it in myself and take care of it properly. Maybe in 20 years I’ll get back some of the love I’ve poured into it playing until my fingers are sore. Thanks for the video!
I have an E20OM-TC and the adi grain is so tight across the top I’ve wondered if it isn’t Sitka or cedar. This one here has wide grain at edges. It’s kind of quiet compared to my ceo7 but does have a lot of sweetness. I still don’t think it’s quite broken in. It’s not my best or loudest guitar but it’s the perfect size and has a good sound and comfortable neck so it’s my go to practice guitar.
This particular guitar sounds pretty amazing. It’s voiced a bit bright like my TC models but had volume and tone to spare. What strings are you using on this one?
Some of the Eastman TC models sound more “broken in” than others. My two year old E10D-TC sounds a bit more aged but still like a newer guitar to me. My two month old E20D-TC still sounds very new, like it doesn’t quite know it’s a guitar yet. I think this is partially from the Adi longer break in period. I believe in 5-10 years these guitars will be unmatched in the under 3k price range!

That sustain is just out of this world! 😯
Stunning instrument in every way.
I have the E20 OM MR-TC that is just unbelievable. $1950 slightly used for a '22 model.
I'm dit impressed with Eastman guitars!! That's one great sounding guitar
Man that is some gut busting low-mids for an OM. Impressive.
It's sure got those low mids on lock Ronnie. Interesting guitar.

Please review Furch OM guitars. A comparison with Martin and Eastman would be cool. Thanks.

Depends on how old you are...

It's a nice little box for sure!

I agree. I'm excited to hear these things as the years go by!
I played one today and it was spectacular. I am selling my new Martin DRSG dread to get the Eastman OM
Please review the Takamine ef360s TT
