La Dispute is a very special band to me. For years I didn't get them, I immediately dismissed them when I heard them initially in like 2010. I was a cringey breakdown kid (If a song didn't have an un-palm-muted breakdown in the first 45 seconds it was trash). But over the years La Dispute has become one of my favorite bands, they are all very skilled at what they do, and play with emotion in all aspects. You can tell each song is important to them, and they are each a story.

Exactly the same story for me. Only my most emo friends listened to them and I was a metal/hardcore kid. I cringe thinking about how many gigs I have missed for bands like this, but LD is definitely number 1 for that effect.
Holy shit wasn't ready for this. Saw them right after Wildlife came out. Incredible energy. An important band.
Quite literally my favorite album of all time.
Fine memories seeing them in church basements and American legions. They deserve everything. Hard for me to listen to their extremely emotional music often, but dang they are so good.
