At 2:12 those are flash cubes but not for Polaroid cameras. They were primarily for instamatic cameras that used standard film. Polaroids typically used a row of bulbs.
I thought the same. I used to have them for my camera and it wasn't a polaroid. I think there weren't many types of flash cubes and that they were interchangeable across models.
@@weejackrussell Cubes went on a Kodak Instamatics. Polaroid had flash bars on top, 3 double bulbs plugged into the top. 6 flashes total one sequentially at a time.
I got them all, but I'm 77 years old. I still have several of those things, but the antiques are just for decoration now, including a treadle Singer sewing machine, a crank clothes wringer, a couple of "thunder jugs", a bunch of glass insulators and much more.
My mom had an old singer treadle sewing machine. When i was little I used to pretend it was my airplane.I'd sit on the treadle and use the big pulley as my steering wheel. When i turned it the treadle would tilt like I was banking into a turn. I flew that old Singer all over the world. That was great fun!!
I think I got 41 right. Some have slightly different names in the UK and Slap bracelet I have never ever heard of. The apple peeler is a potato/apple peeler. The car window winder caught me as it was too zoomed in.
Thought they still made Slinkies. And I think car windows should still have roll down handles. What happens when the battery goes kaflooie. So many people are incredibly short sighted.
I agree that car windows need a backup manual crank. My driver's window electric motor no longer works and I have to step out of the car at drive-thru windows. A real pain if it's raining! And was unable to get a replacement window motor.
The question shouldn't be 'how many do you remember' necessarily - more 'how many do you recognise/know what they are'. I mean, you'd have to be REALLY old to have come across a charcoal iron or mimeograph. And no-one in the UK would recognise the drive-in speaker, as we never had drive-in theatres here. But other than that, we knew every single one (we're 63 and 30 respectively). Had a lot of them, too ...
I guess this means I'm as old as dirt. Recognized 47. Three were not in my child environment. BTW the flashbulbs were for Instamatic cameras, Polaroid cameras had there own built-in reusable flash.

I knew most of them, but these are from such different times, I think it might be hard for someone to remember ALL of them. I mean, someone who remembers a Rubik's cube is not the same generation as someone who remembers a washboard. I think I missed 8.
5:32 How many bonus points do I get for identifying the car as a Studebaker? Look at the door handle and both doors are hinged away from the center post. And why is the speaker hanging outside the car?
