Rumor has it, this song is about her co star and love interest on High School Musical The Musical The Series Josh Basset, and rumored that they were "dating". He is 19 yrs old, she is 17 yrs old, and the blond girl is also in the series Sabrina Carpenter, who is 20 yrs old (the older blond girl). Apparently, Josh wrote a song where he told Olivia that he would wait for her to turn 18, (to be legal) but didn't and moved on to Sabrina, breaking Olivia's heart. And yes, Olivia wrote this song, which is why it sounds so raw and emotional. She is a HUGE Taylor Swift fan, and you can see Taylor's influence in her lyrics and story telling that sucks you into the song.
Yea you can definitely hear the Taylor influences in her song writing for sure. Wow that really is a lot of emotional moving parts. Damn! 😓

Honestly you guys cut wayyyy too much of your content or sometimes don’t play any parts of the song at all and occasionally I understand for copyright issues but for this, it’s an independently created song that was released with the help of a major label for distribution purposes meaning you could’ve given us a chance to see your full reaction to the song and still managed to chop it up which just kills the vibe.
