  • Baking soda is a very important product to have in our food storage. It has hundreds of uses from deodorizing, to cleaning, to freshening clothes in the washing machine, and also many food-related uses. It is fairly inexpensive and can be purchased in large quantities. If you have not yet added it to your food storage, now is the time.

I always heard that baking soda removes enamel from teeth, so you should only use it occasionally to help whiten, but then I heard an actress mention that her father, who is a dentist, made her brush her teeth with baking soda, and she never had cavities. So I've brushed with nothing but baking soda for over a year, and not only do I still have all my enamel, I no longer have any of the problems with my teeth that I was having. Apparently baking soda balances the PH in the mouth which helps eliminate the bacteria that cause cavities and gum issues. Guess we weren't supposed to know that.

I saved my neighbor one year. Young couple, had flames in a frying pan. Carried it outside (no!) and didn’t know what to do. I ran in house and got my bucket of baking soda and put out the fire!

Here is another fun use for baking soda: Next time you have a clogged drain, instead of reaching for a caustic drain opener, grab your baking soda and vinegar. Dump about a quarter cup of baking soda down the drain, followed by a cup of vinegar. Watch the bubbling action bring up the clog! Let it work for about an hour, then pour several gallons of boiling water down the drain. This nearly always works to completely unclog the drain.

At age 16 I was stung by a nest of ground wasps...I was wearing a bikini & dragging a hose to water plants when the whole nest attacked. I was covered in all sorts of places in bites😭 My sil got out the baking soda and made a paste to apply to every bite, I was a mess but I wasn't in pain & after 2hrs I went swimming and you could hardly see and skin discoloration due to the bites...or stings, if you prefer that term.

I've actually just recently used baking soda to relieve poison ivy on my feet. I'm terribly allergic and happened to have sour cream at the time; I washed the leaf oil off with dawn detergent, rinsed, made a paste of baking soda and sour cream and slathered it on. I wore a sock overnight but repeat about 3 - 4 times daily over the next 2 days and it was mostly all disappeared🤗

I keep baking soda in a dispenser (sugar, flour, etc.) just like the kind you see in Italian restaurants that dispense red pepper flakes. This makes it easy to shake the baking soda where you need it for cleaning. You could also use an empty spice container. The key is to use a dispenser with small round holes!🧂I just refill the dispenser from the large bag as needed.

Make a mixture of two or three tablespoons of baking soda, a teaspoon or so of dawn, and drizzle in peroxide until it creates a nice foamy paste. That mixture will clean almost anything! I use it the most on laundry that has stains. But it works on stove tops, sinks, countertops, showers, and just about everything else. I even took sharpie marks out of a fabric seat cushion with that stuff. I just have to use an old toothbrush, and I can get just about anything clean with that mixture. Give it a try!

Cancer cells love sugar, so after watching another video, everyday I would fix for my sister and myself a cup of water (room temperature) a teaspoon of baking soda with a little sweet syrup. If the cancer wanted the sugar it was going to have to take the sodium in with it, cancer does not like sodium--does it work and does it work on all types --don't know but what I do know is the doctors ask what we were doing and they said whatever it is keep doing it.

There are a lot of emergency preparedness videos out there. I just recently found you, and am so glad I did. I've only seen 3 so far, but I love every one of them. I love that you're not invoking fear. You calmly, and caringly pass on a wealth of knowledge of things you've learned over the years. Tips and info that is useful for everyone. Thank you so much. I look forward to one day saying I've watched every one of your videos. May the Lord continue to bless you with safety, good health, and lots of love and appreciation by all who know you. ❤️

I was without insurance for 2 years and used baking soda to brush my teeth. When I finally was able to go in for a cleaning the Hygienst exclaimed, "Your teeth are clean." Beside remove plaque it removes stains.

I used baking soda to brush my teeth. First I put a couple drops of essential oil of peppermint on my tooth brush and then put the baking soda on my tooth brush. I use it to clean and for an upset stomach. Incredible stuff to have around the house.

Loved this video - I buy baking soda and white vinegar in large quantities and have them delivered. They are great for laundry, dishwasher and fridge hygiene. To clean tiles as in your video, I usually coat them in soda, then add vinegar and let is froth and leave it for 10 mins, then dip a scourer in lemon juice and sprinkle some salt on the tiles and give them a scrub - usually brings everything up a treat :) My cupboard staples (Salt, lemon, vinegar, soda, instant coffee and dish soap) work wonders round the house (Instant coffee in a small dish is great for removing smells from fridges too) - thanks ever so much for all your videos - they inspire so much :)
