Turning 1.3 million in 2012, Zapier has grown exponentially without any additional funding since! Bootstrapping means really considering what you need more money for, and if that little something extra isn't truly stopping you from growing, then don't waste your time (or money) on it. Learn more tips and tricks from Zapier's Wade Foster.

If he raised 1.3 million the company isn't bootstrapped

True. It's still a VC-backed company. True bootstrapping is exactly that! You are self-funding your startup to profitability. If you take any outside money where the funding amount is large enough to scale your startup, you are no longer bootstrapping.

Money can kill creativity sometimes, example: we are currently building a manufacturing and packaging unit for plant based milk in Central Africa. We needed
      land and building :
we setup a land sourcing consultancy and receive commissions in land. Use the land as collateral to finance building.
      Machines :
We partnered with machine manufacturers who were interested in offering leasing and financing options.
      Raw material :
We found farmers and wholesalers who want to add value to their products for part of the additional profits when raw material has been semi-processed.
We on track to start packaging and exporting to Europe and North America in Q3 2022 of our final product Red milk 🥛. Which is a cashew milk with a distinctive red color and naturally sweetened and non-sweetened .
How do you plan on marketing and create brand you ask with little or no capital?
Simple; we start selling exclusively to hotel chains in a refrigerated dispenser machines (leased of course) there by eliminating all competition as most hotel do not want more one of those machines in their breakfast area. The machines have our contact info on them, free billboard for an area with potential business partners to sample our product and find us.

@@101tangu this is how to do it! People need to taste your products, and if your milk is in a hotel used by foreign travelers, then there is a chance that when they get back to their country, they might be able to bring a taste of their travel by buying your milk at their supermarket.

    Taking 1.3 Million is bootstrapped?
If I could get this much money for my startup that would be a dream come true.

Wow, brilliant! Working remote is the same as working in an office, it's just different processes. Boom! Mind blown. Then, make sure everyone you hire is DEFAULT TO ACTION based, and that everyone and every department is TRANSPARENT to everyone else by default. Brillllliant!
