THE MANUAL FOCUS RANGE CUSTOMIZATION IS AMAZING. I've mentioned this many times to fellow Fuji shooters, and also in a video I published about my Fujifilm experience for filmmaking. This is big as it should correct most of the manual focus issues on Fuji's lenses, especially for standard to telephoto focal lengths. No longer shall it be a Panasonic feature only! My only hope now is that the rumors are true that some of the new firmware updates will trickle down to the X-T4.
My biggest frustration is that the nice black model a lot of early videos show testing with, will only be available coming April 3 2025 :-(. I want that black one over the silver, but I'll get the silver and flip for the black later. ;-)
I love Fujifilm kit (have an X-S20) but just cancelled my order for the X-M5, as a replacement for my X-M1, because of the flippy screen. I'm a photographer, happy to forgo the viewfinder but I need a tilt screen instead. So what have I bought with the budget, and old X30 and I love it. You seem to be forgetting us photography first people, we can't all afford an X100 but would buy a rangefinder style camera at the X-M5 price IF it was photography focussed like the X-M1 was.
The manual focus update we really all want is for Fujifilm to give us punch in zoom to the eye with manual focus glass (like how the Nikon ZF does). It seems like it would be very simple for Fujifilm to fix/implement this. As of right now, when we choose Manual Focus as our focusing mode (i.e. not using AF.S or AF.C) then we lose the subject detection features. Why? The Subject Detection feature is separate from the AF, its simply the camera notifying the user that it has detected subjects, faces and eyes. If it were left on during manual focus mode, then when detecting eyes we should be able to use one of our buttons bound to Focus Check (punch in zoom) thus this should take us straight to the eye box to fine tune focus before taking the shot. Of course the user can still turn off Subject Detection if you don't want this to happen. Fuji, leave Subject Detection ON in Manual Focus mode, you will be making a lot of users happy!
why have so many models? Have a PRO and a AMATEUR version, then concentrate on actually fixing firmware ie the autofocus which has been broken for how long now?
Will vloggers really buy this? A vlogging camera designed by Grandpa, with questionable focus, in a saturated market. I'm a Fuji photographer. This is so close to the compact I want. But they killed it with the daft film SIM dial and the unwanted flippy floppy twisty screen. I'll consider it when it's being cleared at 30 percent discount.
They way he's holding this camera is making me ANXIOUS. Cup it bro! It's a new born.
I have been using an X-T1 since 2015, Im so excited for this.

Good deal Fujifilm. Nice features on this little gem.
Very informative and useful video - thank you!

Fuji please, PLEASE address the focus issue on the XT5 and all cameras. We want NEW firmware updates, not new cameras.

Yeah cute, but it probably still can't autofocus consistently accurate with wide-angle lenses like all the other fujis. 😕

That damn side hinged, ubiquitous, slow, obtrusive, conspicuous, absolute rubbish flippy flappy screen!!!
It's for vlogging! What don't you get?????
@@msturi2002 I think this camera is also for photography. I wonder if doing the screen like the X-E4 would have been possible, but it is what it is.
It’s for videos… just think outside of the photo world.
@@hackedbyai Fuji certainly is also saying that you can use it for still photography. If It was just for videos it wouldn't have a mechanical shutter.
