- Hey everyone! In this video I explore a small tributary stream to the Dolores River in Southwest Colorado. This creek holds native Colorado River cutthroat trout, and they were sure fun to find and fish for! Conditions were perfect and the fish were beautiful. Hope you enjoy the video and let me know if you have any questions!

Very nice video and amazing nature.
Pretty little stream.
I learned to love the outdoors in Durango. Beautiful part of the world.
Wow!!! Super cool. I grew up in Durango for 20 years and never fished the Dolores. Now I need to plan a trip up from New Mexico.
More Dolores River tributary videos coming soon! You can hit multiple creeks and find lots of pretty cutthroat!
@@ChasingCutts I’m excited for more videos! Aside from blue-lining on a USGS map, do you recommend any resources for learning the area and public access?
@@ScottKershawRX well I use apps like FishBrain to get ideas, but particularly when it comes to cutthroat trout I study various cutthroat population assessments that are put it ever few years and other research articles to learn where core populations are located 👍
I'm working on my WNTC. I'll either be at that spot or north of Durango. I'm pretty sure I know what stream you're at right now. I'm from AZ. Going to NM, CO, then Utah.
Good luck! I’ll be north of Durango sometime this week to hit Hermosa Creek 👌
