Using Dragon Aspect, and then using Elemental Fury will buff the speed of each attack even further.
Yeah you're right about that, I actually didn't even know until after this video was released. Seems I cannot know everything sadly.
@@Sickliff what if you use bloodthirst on left hand and a pickaxe
@@mathewestrella6291 Mining with Bloodthirst is actually slower because the game can't accept inputs fast enough to take advantage of the extra speed.
"The first step is becoming a necro mage vampire" woah chill I just wanna mine for funny rocks, calm down lmao
"the first thing we need to discuss are parallel universes"
@@rustyjones7908 If we do two backwards jumps, cast two fireballs at a 45 degree angle and then aim your cursor on this pixel it will align you with the 27th parallel simulation of the game being run it will credit us with the stone from that simulation every 20 hits, resulting in multiplying our stone gain by 1.05 times.
Becoming broken necromage with vampire mult so you can mine rocka faster, lol
no doubt
You can mine about 360 stone per minute at level 1 with no spells, powers, or armor. All you need is a single pickaxe, vegetable soup, and the ability to rhythmically spam crouch
Imagine being a miner and seeing some magic vampire man on space cocaine clear out your entire mine in seconds
Thank you for existing
Even funnier, starts mining into the mine itself, making a massive quarry the size of whiterun💀
dont forget it screaming at his pickaxes
They'd look like one of those smoke clouds in looney tunes when characters are fighting
@@amog8202 would happen if it was realistic but bethesda isnt known for making accurate things.
They really thought nobody would try to stack swing speed buffs
I've thought about that, and maybe they did try them together but didn't realize just how much it was being increased.
@@Sickliff So.. they didn't understand how their game works
@@Saktoth it's bethesda, of course they don't understand how their game works. i mean i love most of their games, but compared to some other things in them this is a pretty minor oversight
@@saladiniv7968 Don't you mean, a miner oversight?
I'll go now.
@@Sickliff I have another guess:
Maybe it started as multiplicative, with the base speed always being 1 and effects stacking as 1.2 * 1.3 = 1.56 rather than 20% + 30% = 50%. Therefore the game was programmed in that way. However, at a late stage in development it was decided they should sum instead, perhaps because of the fact that slows can be really strong in multiplicative systems and they didn't like that.
So some programmers switched from times to plus, moved the base to 0, and couldn't be bothered to fix it.
That is my hypothesis. At least one programmer knew, but it wasn't worth their time to fix it.
With the tools learned in this video, you too can become a shouting, flailing, vampiric jackhammer man.
Better than john henry homself!

I'm kind of glad Bethesda doesn't fix these bugs. If nothing else, it means no-one's going to throw away years of their life going through the approximately 327 re-releases to test this and update the wiki.
Haha true
Why the fuck would they fix them? What possible reason could they have to want to spend any money at all fixing any bug of any kind that isn't severe enough to do something like cause the game to stop booting
@@graog123 especially when modders to their work for them.
@L meanwhile the #1 most downloaded mod being the unofficial patch mod.
Love seeing the dedication in exploring this game
Hey, thanks! It's been one of my favorite games since it came out. Glad that I can still find new things about it to this day.
Necro mage vampire is how you also become a lawyer.
And librarian.
Bravo!
There is a couple other uses for stacking attack speed.
1st, obviously, is combat.
2nd is movement. Grab the "Critical Charge" 1h perk. Mash the attack button while running. Become speed.
PMS00 is fucking goated, and your respect for him and carrying on of the torch in improving Skyrim via glitches thus makes you fucking goated too man, it’s an honor to be watching you sir thank you for your contributions to our Skyrim society you are a God among men!
Hey that's really nice of you, thanks for the high praise. I like to give credit where credit is due and PMS00 documented a lot of interesting mechanics right after the game was released, so it's only natural I'd mention their discoveries eventually.
@@Sickliff dude I’m sorry if I’m more odd than the fanatic from oblivion but I’m just so glad you’re over here making vanilla Skyrim greater by doing proper research, I’m gonna be watching everything you put up and try convincing my other friends to watch your stuff on top of this too without a doubt. I hit that notification bell on your second short vid that I saw tbh! You’re different than the rest and should get many more subscribers and followers honestly, I’ll do what I can to see that it happens if I manage convincing my friends and family to give you a watch too
@@Sickliff Good old days man
You should also try sprint power attack spamming with infinite stamina. The sprint power attack movement speed is dependent on attack speed, so you can essentially dash at 1600% speed if you wish to.
If we stack the archery speed perk, zephyr, necromage, and the bloodworm helm, then archery would probably be semi-automatic.
I tried this before the anniversary edition without the bloodworm helm. The tricky thing is that while draw time is reduced, you still need a minimum amount of time for the arrow to be fully drawn. But with stacking that additional speed it rate of fire would be substantially better.
Archery has its benefits but normally, a good destruction build with a way around magical cost beats it.
I'm pretty sure the bow of shadows would be faster than zephyr, since zephyr doesn't touch WeaponSpeedMult at all. Rather, it has a higher base speed than a normal dwarven bow.
I find archery is generally better since you can scale its damage with enchanting and blacksmithing. you use an enchanting potion, enchant smithing gear, improve bow an insane with amount with blacksmith enchanted gear and smithing potion, and do fortify archery on as much gear as possible with another fortify enchanting potion. you can easily do hundreds of damage with no exploits, then you can multiply that with sneak damage multipliers
@@crazymongoose99 I think there is a way to get high destruction damage with hundreds of damage too. I feel Archery is getting too much hype :L
I had no idea you could just attack the ore vein to get ore
It eats up your stamina very quickly. Not practical for low level characters.
it's pretty awesome in VR
You can also weapon bash ore veins, which is faster than attacking if you don’t have Elemental Fury. The catch is that your off-hand has to be free.
I never knew you could mine clay
Very informative. Will be sure to take advantage of this in my next playthrough.
You are the spiritual sucessor to pms00 that ive been waiting a decade for. The technical knowledge you have of the game is astonishing!
We're understanding the game better every day it seems. So many new advancements in glitches!
"Become an unholy spawn of the undead with a superiority complex against other undead."
That's... That's pretty much how all OP builds start. Loving it already.
I got the Anniversary Edition upgrade a while back and I actually LIKE to mine ore now. Kinda fun actually.
The mod Pheondrix magic evolved has an alteration spell that increases weapon speed, you can stack this with the shout elemental fury and you’ll start attacking so fast you character barley looks like he’s moving.
I knew this because I used to use the instant mining mod and it would deposit like 4000 Stone into my inventory
i might go back to a older save file before the glitch happened and play from where I left off and see if it happens again and hopefully get it recorded
I'd love to see the results :)

Ah yes, perfect. Always wanted to know, how to turn my Skyrim Charakter into a Bohrkrone.
If I'm not mistaken, having the bone wolf pet from the bone wolf creation follow you gives a necromage-like perk as well. I just can't remember if it has the usual necromage shenanigans attached.
Bone Wolf's Revenge used to affect the player, but it was patched.
@@Sickliff Dang, they actually fixed a bug :(
@@kepler_drew853 They pretty much only fix things that affect the Creation Club content. For instance, the recent Marked for Death nerf that fixed the stacking damage.
*STANDING HERE, I REALIZE!*
Had no idea about the Bloodworm helm. Between that and rare curios ingredients making busted potions, the creation club is 100% broken. The only thing that doesn't make me feel bad about exploiting the game to the max is that legendary difficulty can suck an entire hydrogen bomb and die
Seeing the animation for speed attack reminds me of looney tunes
STANDING HERE I REALIZE
Great use of the ether mines music from Xenoblade Chronicles! Great music choice!
Why thank you, Xenoblade is awesome
Hearthfire chads eating good tonight!
PMS00 was the first game breaker that I can remember. Wish he still did videos.
"I can do it even faster anywhere anytime!"
(Typing on console commands)
"Now do it on a controller >:)"
@@Sickliff oh no, my weakness
ive been elemental fury + pickaxing forever. i didn't know this was unknown technology.
After you invest the perk with the blood worm helm on can you take it off and still receive the buff or do you need to keep it on indefinitely
Dual Flurry will stay buffed even after removing the helm.
this beats the old method of hitting E and then walking away to take a poop
ROCK AND STONE!!
Haha, I should play DRG sometime
I think when you mine the fast way you don't get gems, i think that was the buff they added... i might be wrong, been years since i played this although i do keep meaning to start a new game on Switch, i got it for Switch but just didn't get to play it yet... Best game ever.
Once the Bow of Shadows stops working as intended, the glitch can be done by having the bow equipped, quicksaving or using Wait repeatedly until the invisibility procs. Once it does, the bow and any weapon you switch to will have increased attack speed until you quick load, travel, or walk through a door/loading zone.
Been using it with a 2h sword and the difference is insane.
Subbed
Rock and stone
This belongs on r/theydidthemath holy shit
I might consider it ;)
The ring of wind also affects your swing speed. Also, the ring is buffed with an elixir of illusion (illusion spells 100% more powerful) permanently as long as you keep the ring equipped after the potion runs out. With that, necromage, and the bloodworm helm upon equipping the ring, I have the ring of wind up to 75% (no crazy exploits).
According to my testing, the ring of the wind does not affect attack speed, only movement speed. Are you playing with mods that may affect this?
@@Sickliff You are correct! I just did some testing and the ring does not affect swing speed. I was wrong. Lol
why do we even watching how to empty our node as fast as we can XD?
So wouldn't it be a great idea to use Legendary resets or Black Book resets to clear my perks then equip bloodworm helm then go for necromage then pick every perk I want in every tree? Then I take the helmet off and the effected perks stay super buffed?
Yeah that would work
If I’m correct you can also use peckish plus dragon aspect
Yeah I had overlooked dragon aspect, and the peckish speed boost hadn't been discovered yet
wait you can harvest 4k per quarry?
I think my game is broken lol I can get 70 at a time before it depletes again.
Strange, have you tried at a different location?
The background music kept making me think of Shadowgate...
The issue with PC is that if you wanted to cheat you'd just create stones out of thin air.
Unless of course it's only about breaking the game and not at all about the stone.
So i did this in SkyrimVR so yeah. Somehow i don't have to use the gym no more
Great work still a little confused on how the helmet affects the necromage affect
The helmet doesn't affect Necromage, it acts like a second Necromage that stacks with the original.
Interesting
Does the CTRL+PrtScrn toggle on/off the effect or can u only activate it ?
It's a toggle
@@Sickliff Does it disable Achievments ?
@@mattiasxxxx7096 I haven't tested it, but I highly doubt it would.
it might honestly be random with the BOS glitch, my save is bugged to the point every time I take the bow out the invisibility doesn't work, I'm also gaining achievements that I don't even have the stats to gain so who knows what I've done
And i some how managed to find 25 standing stones and completed -1 Thieves guild quests even tho i have the quest line finished
Aka the John Henry build
Alternatively, in SkyrimVR simply interacting with the vein will give you hundreds of stone lmao
So for the whole necromage vampire thing, do I need to be a vampire before getting necromage? Or will it still effect me regardless of when I acquire it
You can get Necromage before or after becoming a vampire, but you must get the perks or spells you want to buff after becoming a Necromage vampire
@@Sickliff Alright, dummy follow up question, does it work the same for vampire lord?
Suprised this doesn’t mention how bloodthist from tge dawnfang creation applies its speedmult to only the right hand and stacks exponentially with dual flurry
I must have overlooked that, I'll test it out
So you are right about Bloodthirst increasing weapon speed in the main hand, which means you can hold Bloodthirst in the offhand and mine with a pickaxe. However, I've now run into the issue that it's not possible to mine at its maximum speed. The game won't even accept inputs fast enough with a macro. So mining with Bloodthirst is actually slower than dual wielding pickaxes. Thanks for pointing it out though!
or you can start mining and walk away for an hour. I did that and the guy was still mining away when I came back getting more stone then I could ever possibly use. I just wish I could do that with wood shopping
and people think that block mining is faster lol, id gladly show this off to folks to prove them wrong now XD
Does bloodworm helm bonewolf and necromage stack together?
Yes, but Bone Wolf's Revenge only works against NPCs
@@Sickliff ohhh okay that sucks but cool
i love how this is both very entertaining and very useless
You may think it's useless now.
@@Sickliff indeed i may...
Where can I get an elixir of the healer?
They're sold by apothecary merchants at level 40 and above
@@Sickliff thx
if you become a werewolf first you can do a glitch to equip 5 amulets of talos which will give you 100% shout cooldown so you don’t have to wait. then you can cure your lycanthropy and become a vampire.
You can do that stacking equip glitch the exact same way as a vampire lord. You're better off becoming a VL WW hybrid before getting yourself whatever perks you want to necromage vampire + bloodworm buff
I wonder if you could mine it faster in the VR version
VR Skyrim doesn't have an animation for mining, it instead will just add ore directly to your inventory when you activate a vein at a rapid rate. This results in Stone Quarries and Clay Deposits being quickly drained even without any of the mechanics shown in the video.
@@bagelmandan6620 so yes?
So how min maxed is min maxed at this point
There is no min only max
I am so confused, how does this work?
Is it because you have the skill that affects undead more and since you are undead, dual fury affects you more? Or am i missing something and the video broke my brain?
Yeah, if you're a vampire with the Necromage perk you will be affected more by spells that the game considers "self-cast." Same goes for the Bloodworm Helm, but not Bone Wolf's Revenge (it was patched). Dual Flurry works by applying a spell to you that increases your attack speed, and the game considers this to be a self-cast spell.
How to tell its been too long since a new elder scrolls
John Henry mode
does this work on original pc game
Bloodworm helm is from the Gallows Hall creation, which doesn't exist in Legendary Edition
I didn't even know you could get it just by hitting it with a pickaxe. I thought you had to press E.
How did you get the shout cooldown to be so strong with just one item?
Just want to say these are extremely well researched and executed by the way. I ask because in AE you can get 60% shout cooldown with items, 80% with the unofficial patch, and I’m wondering if you can get the cooldown to 0 with whatever you just did.
(The boons/items are shrine/amulet of Talos, stormcloak champion armor from AE/CC, and Morokei Dragon Priest mask with the unofficial patch.)
The shout cooldown isn't really that strong in this video, it's just that the effect lasts longer with necrovamp. But the Fortify Shouts effect is buffed by Fortify Restoration potions. So you could reach 100% using one of those.
@@Sickliff I didn't know enchants were fortified by restoration potions, thanks!
@@taffyadam6031 Make sure you re-equip the armor afterwards, the buff won't wear off until you unequip the armor.
@@Sickliff thanks a million
The bloodthurst blade is pretty fucky with swing speed it might make this even faster
I did try that, and even though it should be faster in theory, the script that adds the stone to your inventory is laggy and it will start to queue the stone to be added. The rate at which you get the stone is roughly the same as in this video's method, meaning we have likely already hit the cap for how fast you can mine.
I guess notch pick axe is useless then? Or everyone forgot about it
Doesn't this prevent the ore vein from respawning though?
no
@@Sickliff Great! 😁👌
Sometimes I hate that I play with as many bugfixes as possible, but then I remember I can clear Arcwind.
Oh, well. You win some, you lose some.
WAIT A SECCOND, you want to tell me that you can mine ores by attacking them with piaxes?
Of course
Anyone try veggie soup and block bashing with a pickaxe?
I did. Unfortunately it's slower since you don't get the speed boost from Dual Flurry
Why?
I just afk'd till it was gone and never needed stone again
I tried doing that on Xbox way back when, it crashed overnight lol.
2:23 Hold on, dual wielding speed actually really depends on a weight of an offhand weapon. So pickaxe with base weight of 10 should be very detrimental for you attack speed compared to the lightiest questitem of Alessandra's Dagger with base weight of 1
That's a myth, weapon weight actually has nothing to do with attack speed. It all has to do with the weapon's assigned speed value, which is usually based on its weapon class. However there are exceptions, like the pickaxe and woodcutters axe, which were made to swing at the same speed as daggers.
So, it starts at zero, which is actually one, then it goes down to one, which is still one and zero, then it goes up from there?
So they had to invent new forms of math to ensure that nothing worked correctly in their game?
I think it basically just has a condition that says if WeaponSpeedMult is
This is also an efficient way of mining humans.
So... what's the point? You don't need that much stone or clay even if you do all 3 houses. It's definitely not for selling so I'm confused as to why this matters, even for combat applications
I feel like if I wanted to go through all this effort, I would just add it with console commands.
or you could just do the zephyr quick switch glitch lol
i play on pc. these are the ROUGH notes i took down
bow on hot key (i used 2)
draw and release
immediately press 2 twice then alt tab, pause a second, go back to game
if the bow spans real fast, then the glitch worked, switch to weapons.
if you land on weapons, if the wapons draw fast, it probably worked
alt tab increases success rate dramatically. its not necessary.
---------------------------
this glitch is pointless for me so i didnt use it much past finding out how to reliably trigger it. it did seem to stop working after a while but i didnt pay attention if something caused that.
Zephyr's enchantment actually does nothing, it draws faster due to its speed stat being higher than a normal dwarven bow. This may have been an issue with the Quick Shot bug though.
I'll just do the ancient art of duping
Why the fuck am I watching this and why did I watch the whole thing????
The question is...why would you need 4000 stone or clay?
Because clay and stone go brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
The dude named Theron is actually my real name wth
and I thought they were infinite
but...why
Why would you want 4000 Stone? Does it sell for a lot?
Does it work for chopping wood?
Cheers!
{:o:O:}
It's not really that useful, what's important is how to increase your attack speed and how the effects stack. I don't think it works with wood unfortunately.
Just like Minecraft
uncap the framerate. 120 fps will make this instant.
Uncapping the framerate is generally considered a bad idea as it messes with the havok physics engine and causes objects to go flying randomly. But that would be faster, assuming you can mash fast enough.
Just buy it. I got 10k in a minute because i have a magical item called the septims of monetary value. Its really not hard.
Creation club is mods so its not vanilla content
DLC is just paid mods
Who needs 4000 stones?
Or play in vr where you get 10000 every 30 seconds by default hahaha
C-engine. %2000 easily. (Not paid Skyrim)
