Love your honest approach, and non pretentious personality. Beautiful tank, beautiful presenter... literally the most fun I've had watching corals feed! Your tank is an inspiration... I can only dream of owning such a lovely reef :) x
Best to feed the scoly at night when the lights are off. My scoly has it’s tentacles out every night ready to feed. The only downside is that you don’t get to see the dramatic effect as you would with the lights on.
Nice feeding video. I also have a 65-gallon tank. It's a Marineland tank running on a Marineland 360 Canister. It has been running for five years. I use Reef Roids for my coral.
When I feed mine, I add a few drops of PolypLab Polyp-Booster about 5 minutes before I feed AB+. My scolys and ancantho go crazy. Leave your MP on so it spreads the booster through the tank.
My acans rarely open for liquid food, but go nuts for pellets. Your scolly may be the same way. I don't feed pellets all that often because my fish violently pick the pellets off the corals. I feed the corals in my tanks very similar to how you showed in the video. I shut of the return pumps, leave the gyres running and pour in the coral food. I leave the pumps run for about 5 min and then shut them off. I mix in Red Sea A+B, reef roids, coral amino, and coral vitalizer. I also mix in coral food when I make my own frozen fish food. Do you make your own fish food?? You may enjoy it and it'd be a fun video to watch.
I give the tank a dose every morning and the SPS have really shown a difference fast in growth and color. The LPS just stay their normal colorful colors.
I have undetectable nitrates and 0.04 phosphates. I'm adding some fish and feeding more to try and get nitrate up a little. I'm not sure what is controlling the nitrate. I have an algae reactor but its new and only has a golf ball of chaeto in it. I hope that your scoly is OK. It looks fleshy and fine. Its maybe just full and ready to expell.
For me I find scoly prefer thicker foods and not liquid. Try reef roids, add a bit of water to make a paste. Garentee that will get the scolys tentacles out
How do Red Sea sponsor someone who don’t know anything about the product or much about the hobby. I feel the company is taking advantage of new reefers just to market hype. This hobby has gone in the wrong direction
Thank you to Red Sea for sponsoring todays video! Check them out here: www.redseafish.com 🐠
hit the tank with the amind's and then try target feeding him some mysis or a tiny piece of squid, they love meaty foods ;)

I members to alkalinity test everyday🙃
Picking this up today, we'll see how it goes! Great video!
Love the look of your tank! :-) Subscribing!
Thanks Marcus! Welcome to the channel:)
Nice tank! Which salt do you use and do you dose kalkwasser?
Thanks! Fritz blue box. I only dose ALK and CAL.
Try buying some Fauna Marin LPS pellets....my corals really enjoy it
hadn't heard of it will check it out, thanks!
I have a red scolly and a apple green scolly the red never puts tentacles out when it eats the green does lol
I feed my scully mysis mixed with reef roofs and he definitely has a reaction, you should try that
Tried mysis recently, he did like it but still no tentacles! Lol
I would also add Polyplabs reef roids! I make a little cocktail with ab+ and feed my torches scoli ect!
🔥🔥🔥
Dope!🤘
I feed my scolys coral frenzy pellets and they go nuts and fluff up really nice
Ouu gotta try that!
Perhaps try some polyp booster prior to using the RedSea. Oh If I was RedSea, I would send you a tank upgrade.
haha will give it a go!

every morning!? Dang your nutrients are okay?

Feed the coral at night to see testicles. Corals are not gonna release testicles during the day so a predator tears them.

I cant get it to be pasty enough lol maybe like 1 drop of water
Small few drops is all it takes I use to use a 5ml syringe of water
Feed the scoly some reef roid paste
I feel like even if I only put a few drops of water its still too liquidy!
@@DreamStateLiving nah same setup little bit of water with reef roids and turn off flow
It's gonna turn your tank black
😳😳
It’s camera shy lol
!!!
You’re a coral its camera shy
Yea lol I get you !
