I just received the SB kit for my non-prepunched 6A in the mail and the flanged spar doublers and steel brackets are already final shape and formed FYI.

Yup. The -4 and later models get pre-formed hinges. Thanks for watching!

You must have done a decent job on these videos. I don’t have an RV or spar cracks and watched all three videos.

Are the re-leafs you cut in the piece you mentioned that they did not give dimensions really necessary or are they just for weight? I ask this as I was working on a Rans aircraft and needed material that was not available locally so I called them. They told me the extruded angle I had purchased was just a little thicker and would be stronger. I asked about a large angle cut out on the angle that I was having an issue with and was told that they only cut it out for weight and I could just not cut it as it would only be 1/2 ounce more heavy. Thanks again for the videos.

I think it is intended to spread the load in a transition manner. Probably doesn’t amount to a hill of beans at the end of the day…

To do this service bulletin on a experimental, do you have to be a A&P if the plane is not yours? Do you have to be a IA? Thanks for the videos.

I think technically it would have to be an A&P. Yes I have an IA.
