In a sense, Morgan Freeman is the main character in Shawshank considering he’s the one explaining everything which happens
yeah, kinda like how Salieri was the main character in Amadeus, not Mozart. F Murray Abraham won Best Actor.
really good point. It pretty much IS his story
I would happily watch an entire spinoff about Luna Lovegood. She taught me the importance of being true to myself, and that we're all a little bit weird. 💙
You just wanna wanna drool over Evanna Lynch. lol
Alan Ruck was so convincing at playing the teenage Cameron, that you'd never suspect that he was 29 during filming, turning 30 a month after the film premiered. He was really believable, and I'd love to see a Cameron spinoff.
He’s one of the few. Too many times Hollywood has miscast actors, having them portray characters much younger than they are. Example: Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher. He is 20 years too old and 8 inches too short.
Wow. So even back then we had adults playing teenagers. But he was a perfect choice for Cameron.
@@amayajones68In Grease in 1978, only one of the main characters was played by a teenager.
@@neilgerace355 Who???
@@amayajones68Dinah Manoff as Marty.
Would love to see a movie from Emily's point of view. Emily Blunt is an amazing actress.
Emily Charlton is the only Emily who deserves to go to Paris
I'm still hoping we get a spin off where she gets to go to Paris
Hoping Lumalee will get more screentime in the Super Mario Bros movie sequel. Or star in a spinoff where it meets Rosalina
In my opinion Luna as was one of the best female characters in the Harry Potter series. In fact, Harry should have ended up with HER. Luna understood Harry in a way neither Ginny or Hermione did as neither one of these characters experienced loss of a parent like Harry had. Luna wasn't afraid to be herself or even call out people who didn't listen to her. She was a bit weird, but that only added to her character and how genuine she is. Even after being tortured at Malfoy manner she said that she changed from that experience but never changed who she was on the inside. Her loosing her mom didn't make her bitter or resentful to magic but loved the weirdness of creatures from parts of the wizarding world no one payed attention to.
I love that Emily Blunt is married in real life to John Krasinski who played Jim in The Office. My favorite celebrity couple. They are adorable together 🩷😍
I live that they also played a couple in A Quiet Place too
What about a Donkey origin movie that would be great
Fun Fact: Alan Ruck was almost 30 when he played Cameron in Ferris Bueler.
Like Olivia Newton-John in Grease.
I watched Devil Wears Prada with my fam the other night(not my first time) and my mom loved it
Another character of Emily Blunt's would be Rita from 'Edge of Tomorrow'.
This is debatable, of course, but I thought it'd be more fun seeing her from being a random soldier into a badass than an anti-type cast Tom Cruise growing into a type cast Tom Cruise.
I expected Pulp Fiction in this list after seeing The Shawshank Redemption also
Shawshank and Bueller might be considered buddy movies, while Pulp Fiction is definitely an ensemble movie.
I see the girl from Wreck it Ralph as the main character too
I thought she was
@@cupcakeadventures8770omg she’s not?😂😂
I thought she was the main character
Use her name
@@ThatsThatMeDepresso690it is literally called Wreak It RALPH
I would LOVE to see the franchise from Luna's perspective! Perhaps revealing
the fact that she and Draco Malfoy
are (or could be) cousins!
I totally agree about Alan Ruck. *He should have got an Oscar nomination* for his brilliantly crafted character arc in "Ferris Bueller's Day Off."
Red was the main character of Shawshank. He’s telling everyone’s story including Andy’s. Though Andy’s story was the main focus he’s still just one of Red’s stories
Jules and Luna are my favourites.
Cameron was my favorite. Being from Michigan, I loved that he wears a Red Wings jersey in Chicago. LGRW!!!!!!!
Cameron, Emily, Vanloppe,Mclovin are favourite side and I agree they could pull off there own movie 😊❤️ Also basically Red is the main guy in Shawshank Redemption because he is the one narrating and in most of the scenes as well👍
Disgust from Inside Out, she's a sassy diva who is funny and relatable and in the sequel we got to see more of her
I would like to see a spin-off with Luna or Ron . Or Draco . And I don’t understand why some people don’t like Harry Potter as much as the other characters cause I do . And a spin-off with Amy from pitch perfect would be cool
Jamie Bell in Jumper, he was more charismatic and his character had a better story than Hayden Christensen's
Alan Ruck nails every character or role he's in: See Star Trek Generations, and Speed. As for Morgan Freeman? What's the old bumper sticker slogan? "I wish Morgan Freeman narrated MY life."
Ferris Bueller is a thoughtless, self-involved jerk. Making Cameron Frye the main character would have been a vast improvement.
I agree!
Cameron was the main character. I think John Hughes wanted the kids watching the movie to see that.
Fair enough to say that Cameron was interested in being the main character from a very young age.
Everyone wants to be the star
Happy sunday morning, Samantha, take care and God bless you. Greetings from Colombia to you as well.
🌪Storm - "X2" (2003)
The thing about Rebel Wilson in her autobiography essentially says that Hollywood wanted to keep her fat and playing that style of character. Yet she developed that style long before she moved to Hollywood
U forgot the joker from the dark knight
I would love to see a lot of these supporting characters from Tarantino flicks get their own film. Unfortunately, only the director can do them justice and he can only do so much.
Veronica from ''Sierra Burgess Is a Loser''.
Unlike the main character who was just awful, Veronica actually turned out to be a pretty good person.
Movie side Characters who should have been the main character
Hermione from Harry Potter
Megan from Bridesmaids
Penny Pingleton from Hairspray
Johnny from The Outsiders
Lilly from Princess Diaries
Paulette from Legally Blonde
Jessie from Toy Story 2
Sam wise from Lord of the Rings
Dude, McLovin is the star of Superbad
I think that you could make the argument that Cameron Frye is the main character of Ferris Bueller's Day Off whilst Ferris Bueller is simply the narrator of Cameron's story. While Ferris might get more screen time by being the one who is talking directly to the audience, the majority of the time the person he's telling the audience about is Cameron not himself which is why by the end of the movie, we've learned all about Cameron and almost nothing about Ferris except that he took his best friend out for day on the town making Cameron the true main character and Ferris simply the character telling Cameron's story.
Cameron is the main character in Ferris Bueller.
They should make a version of Mean Girls with Damien as the main character
"How can that be profitable for Frito-Lay?"
HP franchise would've gone with hermoine but pitch perfect funny yeah fat amy but chloe in my book
God knows I love Warren Beatty, but his interpretation of Bugsy Siegel in 'Bugsy' did not work. Too over-the-top; almost as if he's playing him in a movie-within-a-movie.
Annette Bening's Virginia Hill, however, that's who the movie was supposed to be about. And the _real_ Virginia Hill was an even more interesting figure.
I thought #1 was going to be R2D2 for the entire Star Wars franchise. We all know he's the true MC
No disrespect to lumalee but i disagree with him being the main character because Mario is iconic as a whole and lumalee was voiced by a four year old girl I think it would’ve been way too much for her to read those lines
Hit-Girl should've made the list
I heard somewhere that Red is the main character of Shawshank Redeption b/c psychologically he is the one who changes, has a hero's journey centered about his understaing of/being able to hope.
But yeah, it is probably a minority opinion.
And I would totally watch Devil's Wear Prada from Emily's persective. She DID deserve to go to Paris.
Gale Weathers should have been the main character of Scream 3. Especially with her living in Hollywood when the murders start up again.
We would’ve had more Jennifer screen time too frfr.
#BBJJ - BRING BACK JENNIFER JOLIE!
Uhh. Red is the main character of shawshank. The entire movie is from his pov. He's the dang narrator ffs.
Red is the Narrator, Andy is the main character
Top 20 live action movies that were almost live action animated hybrid films
Emily Blunt stands out in every movie she's in.
I love them
Cameron changed the most. Therefore, he *was* the main character.
Bryan Cranston in Godzilla (2014)
Jules NEEDS to be Tarantinos Final movie
Luna Lovegood is a unique character
There is a reason side characters are side characters is because they are good in small dosses and don't usually work as a main character; See Stiffler from the American Pie movies, good and funny as a side character, terrible and annoying when they tried to make him the main character in American Pie 3
I’d say Lenny from Shark Tale should’ve been the protagonist of the movie because he was more likeable and sympathetic than Oscar, when it came his conflict of being different and his strained relationship with his father I actually felt for him, instead of feeling for the selfish irredeemable Oscar’s bs story. On the bright side, at least Lenny’s voice actor got the spotlight from DreamWorks a few years later. 😉 🐼
The side characters is put in cherry on top a
No cause I literally love Emily so much
Would Rasputin from Kingsman 3 be considered a side character?
Top ten friends recurring character that deserved to be the main character for at least 1 season.
1. Mike hannigan (should be main character in season 9-10)
2. Janice (should be main character from season 1-3)
3. emily (should be main character in season 4)
4. Ben geller (should be main character in season 8 when hes older)
5. Richard burke (main character in season 2)
6. Amy green (main character in season 10)
7. Gunther (the entire 10 season)
8. Tag jones (season 7)
9. Jack and judy (season 2)
10. Ursula buffay (season 1
Samwise Gamgee
In Ferris Bueller, the museum scene drives me crazy. It's all so emotional and cerebral, until a jarring cut onto the parade with soldiers in black and white uniforms. It'd be so much more a subtle transition to cut to the crowd of the parade with multi colored heads the size of the Seutot paint dots. Just saying.
I love THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, the WRECK-IT RALPH franchise, the HARRY POTTER franchise, and PULP FICTION.
Fun Facts: Even though Red is a supporting character, Morgan Freeman was nominated for Best Actor. I had a huge crush on Luna Lovegood, but the actress who played her dyed her hair black and has a boyfriend. 🥺
Megan from Bridesmaids should be on this list
Melissa McCartney in Bridesmaids
Donkeyl
There couldn't be a more obvious #1 than Steve Stiffler from the American Pie franchise.
Emily?? Just no.
Fat Amy basically was the main character in the third Pitch Perfect movie to be fair.
So early
I could really argue that cameron vanellapee and jules were main characters those movies had more than one
? Vanelope wasnt a side character. Weird take. You can have more then 1 main character.
Stifler American pie ?!
Gale from the hunger games.
What movies did you see? Red, Vanellope, and Jules ARE the main characters in their movies.
This is silly. You obviously don't understand the purpose of supporting characters. Many actors make the same mistake, like Samantha in Sex and the City as well as Suzanne in Designing Women.
No chapters. Nope. Let me know when you respect me enough to add chapters, I'll re-subscribe and watch your vids again. Thanks, again, for respecting our time! Not.
Right, so a small side character should lead a movie called The Super Mario Bros movie, ok then. Same goes for Luna Lovegood or Vanellope, brain dead running this channel.
