I really wish to know why did his wings suddenly turn to Devil wings?
However throughout the series from Season 1 until Season 4...
I did wonder if this is his Father was just teaching Lucifer a lesson. I mean Lucifer was selfish child when he said he hates his angelic wings and cut them again and again and again to annoy his Father.
So maybe this time, his Father was like.
*"Ok since you hate it so much of your feathered wings, I change it into Devil wings again. Let this be a lesson to you, son"* . I mean Lucifer's Father could probably do that.
And the lesson was for Lucifer to learn to forgive himself instead of blaming himself over and over.
The prophecy, however probably was just for cover up to actually speed up the relationship between Lucifer and Chloe. Maybe?
@@viperakmal as far as I understood, angels change following the way they see themselves. All the time Amenadiel thought he was betraying his father he was loosing his wings and powers until he thought all he did was right after all. Lucifer's case is the same. He was seeing himself as evil and evoluted as such until he forgave himself. Angels are self evoluting.

Like Amenadiel. Maybe their Father wanted Amenadiel to be selfless unlike season 1 where he is quite selfish and full of pride. He lost his power but able to use his time stopping power again to save Linda at the very critical moment because he was using it for someone else. For regaining his wings... Maybe it is because he finally no longer blame himself for Charlotte's death and he was really wish to help her and it means he gains back his wings because he truly wish for helping her.
So... You can say that it is just like you said... They are self evoluting but also the evolution is based from the feeling and the perception they have about themselves... 👍👍👍👍👍

Linda really doesn’t get enough credit in scenes like these. She was always there for lucifer when others weren’t. She took around 3 or less eps to get over his devil face because she knew he needed the support and friend. The look on her face when seeing his wings you can tell shes truly horrified and as sad for lucifer than he is himself. Also, the fact he called Linda instead of anyone else shows he believes she can fix anything, as much as her therapy seems helpless to the audience and herself, maybe they really do mean a lot to luci.
He was so ashamed, scared, and confused it broke my heart😞😖

I think it's more in this show, he rebelled against God and became the devil but later on he tried to redeem himself but he's confused why God continues to keep him the Devil even after he realized how great humanity is and how he's grown attached to them. He doesn't understand how him being the King of Hell and having full power over the demons is in turn protecting humanity.
@@johncase1353 actually god didn't do that. Amenadiel told us Angels self actualize. Whatever changes occur in their body is cause they believe that's what they deserve. His wings changed cause he thought he deserved it, that's why he's so scared and sad and ashamed. Cause he knows this is his own doing.

Lucifer was always kinda attached to humanity... In the comics which again this tv series are based on the comics Lucifer and Presence (God) had a falling out due to free will. Lucifer wanted free will for everyone while God wanted some big divine plan for everything and everyone.
BoraHcn true but the show is VERY loosely based on the comics, and with god supposedly appearing in season 5 or 6 I can’t wait to see how they portray him but I doubt they’ll go with the route of “the presence.” I’m also really hoping we get to see Lucifer get his scar from Maze or Lilith next season

Honestly it's a crime he doesn't get cast in other movies..
Lucifer's terror just grabs at you with this scene. He's trying so hard to keep control of himself, to not be pushed back after all he's overcome thus far especially working through the abandonment of his family, the manipulations of his father. And I think a deep dark fear of being cast aside again by those who say they care about him because those who were supposed to nurture him harmed him instead.

I just realized that.
Yeah I never thought about that. But I also realize this is the first time in the entire series he genuinely saw himself as evil. Previously in hell, he was just the scorned son of god. And as we progress we saw that while he tried to convince himself he was evil, he truly didn’t believe it. While we may perceive his previous actions as evil; putting a man into a psychotic loop, throwing people through windows, dangling them by their necklace. He always did it in the name of the devil, fulfilling his role as punisher of evil. But this time it was different. He saw it as justice, but he’d never gone so far as to physically injure someone so permanently. And now with Eve, he was becoming the true epitome of evil. Hurting others in the name of justice. Thinking that breaking Julian’s back actually saved the girls trafficked. It was just punishment. I think Chloe kind of tipped him off earlier when he went against Julian’s father. His statement before breaking Julian’s back was the line that cemented he’d have devil wings. Self actualization is a bitch.

Am I the only one who admire Tom's performance when he said "why ? WHY ?". HE TOTALLY KILLED THAT SCENE.
I love all the layers of the character of Lucifer. He is charming, narcissic, a bit childish...but in scenes like this one he is just sooo sad, full of despair...
I love how Tom played it, we can see that Lucifer is close to become insane because of his evil wings (he also was insane in season 3 when he didn't sleep for a week...and Tom was very good too)
The song is also amazing and sooo good for this scene (in fact I think the person who gets to choose the songs is really amazing, "Lucifer" has the best sountrack).
I love the fact that Dr Linda is Lucifer's therapist and friend, we can see her heart is broken when she sees Lucifer like that...
Lucifer really needs to pull himself together and make peace with himself... He wants everybody to think he is happy with Eve but I don't think so...

This scene totally broke my heart. Tom is actually a great actor. I thought the wings feather would turn out to be black. But the way it changed it was terrifying. And then we could relate why he was so terrifed. These scene really gave me a goosebumps as well as made me cry for knowing how scared he was for what he is turning into. . At first i liked eva over chloe for loving Luce and accepting him what he was but then after knowing she was turning him into evil i just wanted to punch in her face.

The desperation, the confusion, the fear... all those feelings can't even scratch the true feelings of the characters in this masterpiece of a scene. The music plays a big role in the scene so it can captivate the viewer and the confusion and desperation of Lucifer is done so nicely that even though he drags the reveal a lot, it's not annoying. Linda's horrified expression and stare at the wings show that she's scaried more about Lucifer's state of mind at the moment than her safety.
These wings look so cool and badass. But of course, as their are the reflect of his soul, it shows how tormented he is. That is quite horrible, the more he is totmented, the more his wings become awesome

I know that the devil wings make him feel like monster but those are more appropriate wings for the devil I mean the Angel wings are more beautiful and all but the devil wings are more like the devil
He's only portrayed as the devil because that's what he believes himself to be, although he's been cast away to hell that doesn't mean he's not an angel anymore.
I get so angry at Lucifer during this episode and then we get to this scene and immediately forget about the rest. 😢😢😢

Lucifer Season 4 is basically Angel Season 2, the same issues, but this one would have a more and less happy ending without Eve meddling, she was acting like a woman scorned, only because her boyfriend dump her, by inciting a fake rebellion, but well, she at least a bit naive, even that she was learning to be manipulative from Maze, she is not psychopath like Michael.

I didn't watch this show back in the time but I have all the season 4 episode purchase in my RUclips because that helped with the introduction to get to know king Satan better I love the relationship between him and eve though but chole was not having it.
