Morning Will. A gentle tickover plus cruise there. The canal in places looks so wild its like being on a river (bit like the Ashby canal). The shot along the gunnel out of the window when its calm, or misty, early morning or late evening is always a magical one. Its sort of timeless. Keep enjoying the experience. Regards. Paul.

Great vlog Will I absolutely love the stunning scenery I crossed the moors yesterday on the m62 in my truck absolutely pissin down and drab but ever so beautiful this country of ours is stunning. Anyway buddy you take care of each other and I will see you on the next one 👍 😀 😉

we have a 24 yr old top of range static, from a seaside resort. Its warm, cosy, light and fully heated and D/G. We prefer it to our farmhouse, which is old and dark. Its got storm proof metal tiled roof and steel chasis. No signs of it dying anytime soon, so no idea why sites make you keep upgrading. Lovely views . Your getting spolied with Shui's cooking too.
I looked into it before getting a boat and the ones I looked at had a shelf life. I guess it depends on the site. Then it would cost £80 a week ground rent, and I could only stay 10 months a year. Boating is better for me, but I loved those statics.
So cosy inside.

@@NarrowboatWill Yes, on site rentals and rules are stupid. You pay a fortune and cant use it over winter, then have to keep upgrading. Lucky for us, we have our own land and its free. Still prefer to be boating , not static ( no pun ment ) :)

Haha… the camaraderie between you and Shui is priceless, I must be careful though. There are a lot of cry babies on these channels, I criticise ‘Crick’ boat show every year now, it used to be a quiet affair, now it’s common place for ‘celebrity boaters’. I remember when we could just laugh about stuff. Now, the salt🧂🧂🧂shakers come out and tears, if you contained them could fill shallow canals all over…

life of a caravan ,depends if you look after it properly ,can be made of metal or UPVC with a wooden or metal framework, cost of one anything depends on size ,some are over £100.000

Hi will enjoying your journeys,about to start my own adventure bring my boat up from Newbury up to the midlands. Wondered how you found constantly moving mr van ( as I am going to have to do with my car ) how do you find parking spaces close enough to the canal ,especially in the more rural areas.

Hello Phil. It's easy in summer. Go on Google maps, and if you see boats moored near bridges, that's a good indication of parking. Another good one is leave it near a big town close to the train station and get the train or bus back when you hit the next bug town. They're usually connected. Villages, not so much. Good luck. You'll love it.
You'd probably never see those beautiful views if it were not for the canal. I could see myself as a narrowboater if it were summer all year round. 😉

To be honest I never watched the news whilst living on my narrow boat..as they say no news is good news .
I noticed that someone on the canals had Thier boat broken into ..???
Unfortunately this is nothing new. Twice it happened to me .. strangely enough in the same area of the Trent and Mersey canal...
Anyway will keep smiling mate things can only get better...
I don't go by boaters whispers. I get it everywhere. I need to form my own opinion Wayne. I've been in the worst and best areas. I've had more trouble in the best areas from locals. 🤣🤣🤣

When you say you can't moor there, is it that you are not allowed to or is it that its too difficult to get the boat positioned properly ?
To shallow or sometimes it's private or overgrown.
