Elsje didn't like the banana? Wow, lol! I was thinking for sure she'd be one of the Friesians that would gobble one right up! I had a Belgian gelding who loved them. Roll a banana in oats & ground flax seeds and it was like a dessert treat.🐴🍌🍭

They live the sweetness but the texture is what throws some of them off. I know I can split mine into thirds (3 dogs) and they LOVE them, only water SEEING US eat them! I live what you've been doing Yvonne, thank you again!!
I‘m surprised, they didn’t enjoy them more! Maybe, if the bananas had been a little bit riper? I won’t touch bananas, that are still green on the outside, either, personally. The ones with the brown spots, now that’s the good stuff 😉
Judith Neeley I have a friend, who claims to get sick to her stomach, when she sees me eating overripe bananas...she thinks, it’s totally disgusting 😂 But as long as they’re not brown on the inside yet...the riper, the better, for me!
Rara Avis, sometimes thenanana can have an astringent quality in the mouth unless it’s pretty ripe. That may be what most of the horses are tasting. I don’t like them that way either, but really don’t like them too ripe. They have preferences too!

Carrots please! The horses are soooo lovely, they adore interaction with you and your fellows. I was thinking... I haven't seen little Jonny out in pasture, where does he go to have fun? I make 4 big loaves of banana bread every week for my husband and me and for my grandchildren. My daughter and her hubby bought me a new oven for Christmas 2018 and it is super. I can put the 4 loaves in at the same time and watch them baking thro the big glass door. But I'm not allowed to eat bananas at the moment because my blood potassium is raised and bananas contain quite high levels of this. But it's ok, I make a cheeky little mixed fruit loaf so I'm not left out when we go on a picnic:).
My dog and I share a banana every morning. LOL he inhales almost all foods, bananas are one thing he actually chews (sticky!). So it's funny to watch him.

My corgi ( and yes, I know she was a dog and not a Friesian ) hated bananas - loved apples, berries, melon etc - it was hilarious - she would take a piece in her mouth , walk away then spit it out where I couldn’t see - guess she was being polite 🤣
I had a week old black tailed deer that loved licking bananas. I never thought about seeing if he would eat them as an adult. BTW, as an adult, he always tried to take my Skittles. He had a sweet tooth. Someday I'll post all the videos.
