The trouble I have with a cartwheel is like pulling inner thigh muscles as bring my legs up and around.... What's a good stretch/exercise to help with that?
Thought so as well. Used to weigh 120kg but then I hurt my back and could barely move. So I had to change my life, started working out and lost over 40kg so far. And now I'm gonna learn this! Have never done it ever in my 33 years of life. But I will master it!

Hi Tapp brothers..could you guys do a series in parkour exercises that beginners should do (I would prefer home workouts) to develop strength and stamina required to do the parkour moves. Currently there are no comprehensive videos on parkour exercises. These exercises could be modelled on th4 lines of many of the HIIT workout series that are uploaded by many fitness experts and could ideally be 10 videos or so focussing on different muscle groups and moves to be executed so that people like me can use it as a training work out repository for parkour.Hope you will take this request into consideration.
Well you just have to push your first leg and your second would definitely follow. Your actually mind prevents you from finding a new balance point. Since you can do splits, you’ll get through it pretty quick.
Tx i am practicing cartwheel for Shorinji Kempo class,,, while i was doing in i did not land on standing up instead at the end my bcak leg kind of changing course direction and eventually landed as if doing front sommersault ,,,, kindly need your advise bro,,, tx a lot
Hi :) I have a question about something about what you have not spoken yet. How to train our fingers quickly and effectively especially a small/pinky finger :) It's about playing on guitar Ordinary exercises based on playing are not effective I still play and my hand and finger are still not strong enough. Conclusion - I do not practice what I need, playing is not a practice exercises are done in breaks from playing. Maybe you know some interesting hands & fingers exercises of Shaolin monks ;D or Systema or anything else what develops the strength of our hands and especially the fingers to be able to smoothly play on guitar. Cheers! :)
Hey, as a multi-instrumentalist and teacher, I'd suggest a hammer-on exercise. Start in a good playing position, with a nice neutral wrist, then press your first (index) finger to the first fret as rapidly and strongly as you can. Do about 10x, then keep your finger on the fret and practice hammering your second finger. Then keep it down and practice hammering your third. Then keep that down and practice hammering your pinky down. It's easy to tell when you've done a good one, because you can hear a clear sound. I would exercise each finger, but do more reps with the pinky and do it more often than with the other fingers. You can also come up with variations, like holding a finger on one string and hammering on a different string. Or in addition to hammering, you can try left hand plucking. You can also practice hammering a chord shape. Em and A are good ones to start with, but any open shape is pretty easy. Undoubtedly, there are lots of websites and videos showing other exercises, this is just a simple one I use.
Long time follower! You guys should go try for ultimate beast master lol. I just been seeing a lot of parkour athletes fail because all I see they are specializing in is flips and flashy stuff. I think you guys are actually more built for the course. 👍🏽😃
hi sir i love you !! great video 😍 if you don't mind i have a question please why i have shoulder pain when i stretch my triceps ?? especially in the right shoulder 😢
I could do cartwheels and backbends all day long, but now in my 50s though I can still do a cartwheel it's scary and forget about a backbend. What happened?
It really depends on how much extra weight you have, how strong you are, your flexibility, and how good you get with technique. I personally know people who are over weight or pretty big and they can do most flips because they have built a lot of strength and perfected their technique. Ideally though, you will want to cut as much extra weight (fat) as you can. This will make everything much easier and safer on your joints. What I would recommend is to test your strength with the exercises we shared at the end. If you feel strong and no discomfort in your joints, attempt some of the progressions we shared. Listen to your body. If you feel weak or pain at any point, stop and go back down a level. I'd also recommend you go through our in-home workouts to build functional strength & to cut extra fat. You can get our 1st Strength workout free by going here: tappbrothers.com/free-rpf-body-weight-workout-u/ if you want to start are in home RPF course you can go here: bit.ly/2NUJi68
Practice handstand drills. E.g. Wall walks, static handstand holds, handstand press, etc. That'll just help strengthen your shoulders and help keep you balanced in that handstand position.
Can anyone help, when I am trying this and I am on my hands upside down I seem to always be leaning forward from the Torso. I have tried to be mindful of this incorrect it but it seems every time I'm slightly leaning forward, any common cause? Any suggestions?
As a guy, I wish more men would be enthusiastic in learning acrobatic moves like the cartwheel. Not sure if most men view the cartwheel as very unmanly. For me, it's not because you have to fight your fear in case you fail. I see on the comments here that most people commenting about wanting to learn cartwheel are mostly women.
It’s a lot less scary then you think trust me I can barely lift up 20 pounds and I can do it trust me I understood that it was really hard to get over it but once I did one I was like, “really?! That’s it?” It’s a lot less scary than you think
