Deletes songs, especially his track Alone with deetox, got me through the toughest times in my life and gives me energy to just push through difficult times. I was so happy about visiting this set and skipping the Sunday endshow. It was a hard decision but so worth it. All the delete die hard fans were gathered and all others were gone, but still a packed area and the vibe was unreal . Now I am even more happy about that decision, but in a weird sad way. Can't imagine a defqon without this legend...

@Todd M so the problem with this definition is that not all Rawstyle producers use gated kicks :D popular example: I guess you would agree that Warface - I Need You is a Rawstyle track, yet this is not a gated kick. It also has a melodic part, still I would consider it as Rawstyle. Same goes for most Rebelion tracks. Ofc Rawstyle is such a wide term, that at some point (especially regarding Delete and the Spoontech guys) it could be called a completely different genre than Hardstyle. But it's not like a hard cut, the transition between Hardstyle and Rawstyle is pretty fluent with producers like Phuture Noize or Sub Zero Project. And as everything originates in the same style (and Rawstyle isnt really that old), I would still call it a subgenre rather than a different genre.
@Todd M yeah, it was even clearer around 2015/2016 when there still was that huge split between Euphoric and Raw. Raw has just a different sound design, being dark and agressive, that's what defined it in the first place. So you could argue that Rawstyle became less Raw due to heavy melodic influences, with guys like Phuture Noize, B-Front, Myst etc. But there is ofc also the other side with rougher kicks. End Of Line is killing it atm, we have Minus is More, Gearbox... And you can always go to Spoontech^^
