    Excellent Cadets! Former 1960s-era Guards NCO, says so!

    One rarely sees steadier camera work than in here! Some of cadets are smiling when marching, that's nice. At 43:45: "We are the robots".

    And every single one of those cadets is thinking "God this is boring!"
    I attended a Wing review at Tulliallan back in the '90s, and the final parade mostly involved a lot of standing still while the officers did officery things. It was super boring.

    Q. How many Pace Sticks should there be on a Parade

    • @samuelpattison3548
      @samuelpattison3548 7 лет назад +1

      arjunuk1 all qualified Drill Instructors are authorised to carry a pace stick whilst performing Drill Duties/Parades, there isn't a specific number to how many are allowed on a parade. It's an entitlement of passing the ATF SSIC Drill Instructor Course at RAF Cranwell. No other personnel are permitted to carry one. Also, the type of pace stick isn't specific I.E pointer/racer, colour however is traditionally rosewood or light mahogany.

      The pace stick was first used by the Royal Artillery to measure distances. Later adopted by Guards regiments at its Depot, followed by other regiments and the All Arms Drill Wing

    why did they have a life on the ocean wave playing when they marched off the parade ground?

    • @samuelpattison3548
      @samuelpattison3548 7 лет назад

      marc poulter It's used as a music filler, purely because there's only a certain amount of Marches that would of been played during the Parade as there was also a Band Display and Continuity Drill.

    One of the best things I've done in my life was to leave the Royal Air Force. Remember, they can treat you like an expendable piece of shite because you won’t have the rights that civilians have. Don't believe all the crap you see in the recruitment videos. Go into Google, type 'Abuse in the Royal Air Force', read it, then make a sensible decision.
