In my 25+ years of playing in TCGs there's another thing. This goes with "finding a testing group", learn what events are and are not competitive environments. Not every "tournament" or event is a competitive environment, for example the common PPW events at local stores are NOT supposed to be competitive. PPW events are simply casual events with the TCG equivalent of a participation trophy. If you get competitive over a few bucks, you really need to reevaluate your life. I couldn't tell you how many times I have seen the local scene of a game at a store get destroyed and shut down just because a few super competitive players were constantly competitive at a casual event. The casuals will go find another store if the scene is not fun and there are way more casuals than competitive players.
Always appreciate your insights wooooo, definitely one of my favorite creators right now. Doubt I will try to be highly competitive, but watched this because I still want to be a good player. Getting to do well at locals/leagues with lower tier decks is where I am at for now. Thanks and best of luck in your games/tourneys!
Thanks for you content, really intelligent takes on what to think about. Makes me sad that Tarkin isn't anywhere here, but I've only been playing for like 3 weeks, need to enjoy my honey moon casual phase first 😅
Ok a few thoughts about the Krennic vs Iden comparison that you didn't mention: -The +1 attack passive is often relevant throughout the game not only on deathtrooper. -Yes Krennic gets one shoted by battalion but Iden gets one shoted by takedown which is far more difficult to play around and dodge. -If you play around battalion, (all you got to do is kill Sabine before deploying Krennic), I personally find Krennic better than Iden against aggro. He deploys faster and heals 2HP per turn since he going to be a pain the ass to kill. Also only one palp in your Vader deck made me very sad, probably is one the main reason to be playing him.
All valid! He just hasn't felt as impactful for me in the match-ups im targeting with Iden. As for the vader, it's just the list I put together recently with a lower curve. Nothing set in stone there. Mentioned in the video that the sample lists aren't the configuration I would necessarily go with right now.
Your Chirrut deck (with some tweaks) swept Boba's under the mat 4-0 at a win a box. How do I know? I was the pilot. I went 4-1 (still finished first) losing to Krennic control. Happy to talk to you about the list.
A bunch of them should already be up on swudb! The decks I made guides on will have links in their respective videos, and if you search by popular you should find some of the others. Hope this helps!
@@kanten8775 I think it completely depends on the deck, for example krennic green. That deck I a control deck, kremnic wants the game to go long. Giving the deck more time to hit certain cards at certain points. Putting 51 cards in a control deck like krennic can help in certain situations. For example the control mirror, having 51 might save you from milling to death.

Loved this! Well thought out and great tips all around!
Much appreciated!

Thank you! And I will definitely do some content on off meta stuff too (like the GI deck I posted)
Great advice!
Great video! FYI… Leia whooped Chirrut twice today, Blue Palp took her out to dinner. 🤣👍🏻
Hah, nice!
Fantastic video as always!!
Thanks!

Thank you! Keep jamming that Tarkin though! He's not a bad leader!

Congrats! That's awesome. Feel free to share any changes you made, always looking to innovating!
I've been trying to make chirrut work, to no avail.
Could you provide links to these decks on swudb?

I think the notion that running 51 cards instead of 50 cards is a bad idea is ridiculous. One more card doesn’t hurt the math that much.
imagine any 50 card deck you want. Do you think by "not hurting it that much" the deck becomes a) better? b) worse? c) the same?
