I see 9GB+ VRAM usage on 1080p Ultra + High Settings with DLSS/DLAA options with FSR3.1 FG + Reflex enabled on my 3060 12GB in GOW Ragnarök (I have already tested it, runs and feels silky smooth but I will upload later). 8GB VRAM is the bare minimum and 10GB cards should be the minimum level for optimal experince. You won't believe me but my system RAM usage is around 8GB or so while playing GOW Ragnarök thanks to sufficent VRAM amount 🙂 Nice video btw Jakiy, have fun!
I think it's from your end because the game show vram usage mostly between 4gb and 5gb on 6gb cards....on high preset I've seen rtx3060 desktop at ultra 1080p not going above 6gb (check santiago videos) even the sys requirements state that 6gb should be enough for 1080p.

@@Augmented_RealismThat's because this game has a vram leakage problem, zWORMz Gaming has commented about it, how it goes to consume over 17gb of vram when playing for hours. I have the same setup as Jakiy and, since I don't play for more than an hour at a time, I haven't had any problems

In my opinion, it's really doubtful because we can already see that another Sony titles Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart, Horizon Forbidden West also consumes more than 8GB already and even the 8GB RTX4060/4060Ti series GPUs perform really bad on Very High Textures in those games, especially when it comes to enabling FG. As for that 17GB usage you mention for that talkative Zwormz guy maybe valid for used 4K Ultra Textures which makes sense on a 24GB AMD GPU (VRAM allocations generally higher on AMD compared to NVIDIA btw) and I bet any equivalent RTX 4080 16GB wouldn't consume more than 16GB VRAM even on 4K Ultra in GOW Ragnarok.
Thank you for trying the second scenario of the game since everyone who performs performance tests does so on the first scenario where there is not much to highlight and the true performance is not shown.
To be fair, I think the purpley forest areas are more intensive before you get into the portal entrance to this island, like 5 fps more intensive. It felt quite choppy there. Weirdly enough nobody mentioned about the intensiveness of that purpley forest areas. Luckily there are no combats happened there so it dozen matter much to be worried about. 🙂

Forget Ultra or High settings. Use optimized settings instead. But you might want to lock the fps since the frametime was a bit atrocious there. I usually not a big fan of top-view looking games but anyway, we will see what I can do later. 🙂 ruclips.net/video/Bu4Ni-tc-d8/видео.html
@@Jakiyyyyy I finished GOW1 a few months ago, so I won't go to GOW2 now, but when I do, I'll use your optimize settings! Also, I had a question about Loseless Scaling, have you ever used it?
did you get any messages that vram is exceeding the limit or something along these lines? becuz I heard those who have 4gb and 6gb cards are having these issues even tho the vram clock isn't showing it exceeding past 5500 mb mostly it's between 5000mb and 5400mb on ultra 1080p and I heard some have black screen issues any idea about that? regardless it's a great port best port in 2024 so far...
I don't have any issues regarding exceeding VRAM usage so far except that one crash that I had when trying to fix the mouse input. Apart from that, no black screen issues whatsoever. The game requires minimum of 6GB to run the game. With Patch 2, they finally removed the 4GB GPUs restriction error from launching so it should be good now. It's fine to exceed the VRAM usage in this title since the game will decide the textures according to your VRAM basically. Even if it swapping, it don't really give apparent texture issues or make the game stutter whatsoever. 🙂
Which issues that you are facing with? Did it crash or make the game stuttery? As far as I know, this game will adjust the VRAM usage accordingly to your VRAM. If the problem persists, you can try return to the title screen and then reload the game again to reset the VRAM and RAM usage. No big deal. 🙂
90W is fine for the stock performance. It means that your GPU don't have to work harder, use more power and make it hotter. Anyway if you are still insist and don't mind the consequences, there you go. 🙂 ruclips.net/video/VvSBTxhVs9M/видео.html
No undervolting done here. It depends on the ambient temps too, if you playing during the morning or night, that would be fine but during the afternoon, you can get a working cooler like this one.
