It drives me nuts seeing people pushing around 2 carryons and wearing a backpack. Just check everything but a small backpack or bag.

We agree with the sentiment! For us, we check our regular luggage but carry on our important equipment and belongings, and sometimes you may see us in a video with two bags but that is usually when we carry a bag for each other while one of us is filming!

FIRST piece of advice. Immediately on embarkation, head to the BAR to chill out and mellow.

That is sage advice as well! On the Solstice Class ships we always head to the Sunset Bar - but we weren't quite sure where to go first on the Edge Class ships and ended up trying out the Sunset Bar - Magic Carpet and Pool Bar - in that order! 😉

Experiences cruisers know these things, but first time cruisers may not and we hope to help them avoid as many pitfalls as possible!

Ridiculous we always arrive the morning of. First flight out with a back up on Southwest. You can cancel Southwest 10 minutes before the flight for a full refund. Not everyone can take extra days off. Buy travel insurance. All the cruises we have been on arrive whenever you want they don't stop you.

We love your spark and planning! It's a bit risky for us - we have been bitten before by travel interruptions and our risk tolerance is now lower after having missed a vacation - money is one thing and we agree - get travel insurance - but getting back missed vacation time is yet another.
