Great job this is all super helpful information. One other question I have, though if I have multiple boards a quad and an Uno and a couple anthem, what’s the best way to sync them all up the sinking feature button I don’t have the best luck with that.🤷🏻♂️

How about joining wires of different gauges, like 14awg with 18awg? Or how do you recommend “tapping” into a parallel run without a T-connector
I have had heat cause flickering from my quad. I had it in a flat position in my box, turned it to about a 45 and the flicker went away. Also added an exhaust fan.
This was during testing and the lid to my box was open the whole time.
As for OTA updates, I updated to 14 via OTA and it also wiped out my presets and then showed they were corrupted. I had to then update via usb to get the ability to have presets back but then lost the white channel selection option. Lots of work still needed with WLED.
Any idea when the dig quad will be back in stock??
What would be the primary reason for the controller to reboot inconsistently? Seems that the more fancy the effect, the shorter the time that it lasts before rebooting.

So should i not have any problems with my lights starting 25 to 30 feet from my digiquad? I was but need to try and switch the resistor switch. And when would you have more power leads from power pack to controller?

Is a sacrificial LED still a viable option if i don't have a data booster?
Yes. Best is data booster, then f-amp, then sacrificial pixel.
Im having an issue with brightness, looking at pro installed lights pixellights and such, these just aren't very bright. I have a 300w, 25a power supply and the temporary lights in my neighborhood are just a lot brighter, you can see them down the street where mine I have to be close to the house to see them
Do the neighbors have their lights installed facing the street and your are installing facing the ground?
Did you set the brightness limiter to the amperage of your power supply?
One of my neighbors has Gemstone (pucks having down) and another has Jellyfish (also pucks facing down I think), and they both have no issues with their lights being visible.
thanks for replying, I was referring to the temporary lights, the big bulbs that either point straight up or down. I will check some of the other settings, thank you

What is the practical range of the internal antenna versus the external antenna
Internal antenna, not very far; 3 bedrooms. External antenna: garage to sidewalk average home, maybe to Street on a good day if no cars parked on the driveway!!!!
Also not having the antenna attached on the external antenna version can result in damage.
That won’t really cause damage but obviously the connection will be weaker & you might get some corruption. But, no “damage” to permanently impact your hardware or software.
My peek function on the dig quad is not showing what pattern of light is on. How would I fix this?
Back-up Presets. Re-install program. Restore Presets.

My clickit worked for a week, now a get to rent a ladder again to solder it.
my lights turned blue today on stratup and cannot connect wifi. what do i need to do as it was working???
The best way to get support is to jump on discord. There are lots of people there that can help. It is just a bit troublesome to try and fix things over RUclips comments.
Anyone know what flickering looks like. I have Radom flashing for different effects which ai have not seen before. It is a 500 pixel run.
could be data corruption. How long is the run from your controller to the start of your lights?
Correct running lights DON’T have “flashing” or flickering unless you have set on GLITTER Effect. 500 lights FOR SURE need power injection. DISCONNECT the LAST 350 bulbs for a TEST & you’ll see that fixes problem confirming the injection. If still flashing with 150 bulbs you may have data problem. Hard to have the data problem with dig-quad or dig-uno.
Another common problem is IP addresses NOT showing up. Buy, The WLED PRO Version for your iPhone/iPad. It should make that easier for the beginners or non-tech-heads. Also, Dr. Zzzz wasn’t insistent enough, IF YOU ARE CUSTOM making complicated presets (like 2 greens, 1 white, 2 reds, 1 white) or (4-6 of your own custom colors), these will start to mess up your memory & blow out the programming &/or data on your esp32 ONCE YOU HIT AN UNKNOWN LIMIT. MAKE LOTS OF BACK-UPS & rename them i.e. Christmas1, Christmas2, Halloween, 4th, etc. I’m going to say, if you get good at the presets, listed above, don’t have more than 2 of them (complicated) & 8 “Normal” (maybe 10) presets. Make a back-up & call it Christmas1. Make sure you do BACK-UPs. They are easy and save you time NOT rebuilding them. If you’re going to play with PRESETS, don’t play with them on you main house board. Buy another board & do all you PLAYING AROUND on it. You can copy it to you main controller later. I back-up Halloween and delete it ALL for Christmas and restore my old Christmas back-up. Good Luck!
