HOW TO RECOVER YOUR AUTOCAD FILES

Have at any point lost an AutoCAD drawing document since you neglected to save it or you were unable to save it (because of programming crash) ? This video manages different techniques in AutoCAD to recuperate a lost drawing document .

Thank you! If your computer is not showing the file extension like mine was, just open File Explorer: click on 'View' (at the top) - then click 'Show File Extension'. You will be able to see the extension. Also, .bak extension didn't get me my file. I tried two other extensions autosave (.sv$) and temporary (.ac$). Apparently, AutoCAD saves a backup in three formats. .ac$ worked for me!

What to do when working on a drawing and then when "saving" we get and error message saying that the drawing needs to be recovered? The Recover command doesn't work, when you have the drawing open. I want to save, but it won't let me. I don't want to exit without saving. The recover command doesn't work unless you exit the drawing? What to do?
