Heaven must receive Jesus Christ "until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began" Acts 3:20-21. Therefore, the Lord cannot _descend_ from heaven, 1 Thessalonians 4:16, until the times of restitution of all things. Therefore, at the second coming, the Lord comes _for_ His saints and _with_ His saints in quick succession.
