Lore wise they were a branch of Dark Templars. 2) Phase Cannon mechanic shifts to Zerg building defense. 3) Tempest has shield against ground attack. 4) Twilight Templar required a High Templar and a Dark Templar to merge, supposedly had the ability to attack and cast spells, similar to Artanis's units in Co-op missions.
i think they should have kept this archon design because it better portrayed the raw power of an archon. i think it's the attack animation/effects. release version archon's attack looks so pitiful
@p0wer5000 that was the 2nd gayest thing I've ever heard*. Just because the green shot looks similar and a terran vehicle is called a banshee doesn't mean everyone is feeding off of Halo, dude. I doubt we'll get an official release from Blizzard. Some fans might recreate it some day.
