I think and have been saying for weeks , that not only wouldn't the Hawks progress past week 1 of the finals that they'll also have a dip next season. This season they had freedom , no external or internal pressure , pretty good draw on who they played and who they played twice , great travel fixture and most teams probably didn't rate them until the last month allowing them to ambush many. They will be the Freo, Saints, Crows, Bombers of past seasons. Still need some maturity in their ranks. They finish 9-11 th !
Riewoldt is right, you generally dont want to be on the team who won their grandfinal the week before. He didn't explain it the best but there is usually a let down after a big win like that particularly when they were so ordinary for 2/3rds of the game. Brisbane turn it over too much under pressure anyway.
