"projectile speed is useless" I thought the same way too, until i realized how much of a QoL it is for hitting those headshots to charge incarnon form. Plus you never run out of ammo for non-explosive bows anyways, especially when said bow has an incarnon form.
To explain, basically what's happening is when you incarnon, you dilute the damage because of the added elemental and the projectile becomes much larger thus has a harder time actually hitting the weakpoints. If you took off the elemental damage mod, you'd actually start doing more damage while incarnoff mod. That's my theory at least. This would do even more damage if you had/used the dread augment mod as well.
@L0nelyJournal I might not be right about the doing less damage without the element mod, but given you're already priming with Viral, you're probably better off slapping heat on the default weapon, the magnetic mod, or both.
Found it, the Incarnon mode causes the Dread to go from normal x3 headshot multiplier too x1 headshot multiplier. That's what's causing the lack of damage.
Why would you even pick the Status Upgrade when you go with Primary Acuity, the status makes no difference while the critical multiplier would help a lot.

depends on the weapon :)

i think your explanation might be correct tbh. I cant think of anything else

@@Sea_Leon so the headshot damage multiplayer mod aint that good for the incarnon form
@L0nelyJournal Pretty much, though it still procs headshots with infinite enemy punch through, but it doesn't do extra damage.
