    I thought it was simple adhesive so I took fishing line and it was super hard so I just yanked it off 😂 left two small holes that I put some black touch up paint on. Looks super clean without anything badging in rear

    • @hardyboylifestyle
      @hardyboylifestyle  2 года назад +1

      Sorry to hear about the 2 holes. Yeah in my video shows that you can use fishing line for all the emblems except the H. That you have to take the deck apart to unscrew it, because it's attached to the trunk release button. But it does look good without the H if done right. I know someone that took it off and covered the two hole with 2 round small dots then took some vinyl and did the whole deck lid the same color as the car and you can't tell.

    Can’t I just do that?

    • @hardyboylifestyle
      @hardyboylifestyle  Год назад +1

      Maybe 10mins no more then 20mins. It's very easy. The only I will say just in case I didn't in the video. When you go to pull the whole piece off the trunk, be careful because the Trunk might go up and you don't want to scratch the paint or brake something. So take it off slow and easy

    Did the emblem assembly come out cleanly? Wondering if when you pushed it through if there’s a chance to mess up the paint on the panel surrounding the emblem? Great informative video btw.

    • @hardyboylifestyle
      @hardyboylifestyle  Год назад

      It went in nice and smooth. Only a child could mess it up, that's how easy it is. Just be careful taking the while light section off, because if you move to quick the Trunk will pop up and hit the panel you are taking off and that could scratch the paint. Thank you for the support 🤝

      @@hardyboylifestyle2024 is looking real nice, however there’s aspects of the exterior I like better on the current DN8 models too tho. I guess it depends n what you’re looking for. Imo the current models look a bit more classy while the new one is looking more sporty. Btw changed my emblem out using this video. Everything was good until I had to pull the panel up, mine was a bit stuck & I had all the yellow pins pushed in too. Dunno what it was but it took some muscle to finally yank it off. Thankfully nothing got damaged! I’ll be watching the channel for future mods or that 2024 f you decide to get it! Take care.

    • @hardyboylifestyle
      @hardyboylifestyle  2 года назад

      To be honest, it wasn't really hard at all. Alot of screws and nuts but that's it. I did it on my black 2020 sonata limited and my 2021 sonata N Line. Maybe 20mins tops

      I actually don't. From what I've been told part of our cruise control sensor is in the H. So I covered mine up, but sometimes my cruise control wouldn't engage. If you don't use your cruise control the best option right now is cover it up with some black vinyl to match the grille or use the vinyl tint for headlights and your cruise control will still work.
